Paz chuckled, "Yeah, every tMr. Raines talks about Lady Lisbeth, his eyes light up like Christmas trees. I swear I can see the little twinkling stars in his eyes even through the screen. It's rare for him to find a girl he’s so smitten with. I'm really happy for him and I hope they grow old together." Aurelia deepened her gaze with intrigue.

The person confusing her the most right now was Lisbeth! If the Raines who returned wasn't the real Raines, then Lisbeth, as his intimate partner, should have sensed something was off, but she seemed oblivious to it all.

That afternoon on the yacht, whether her fall was genuine or feigned was a secret, but she certainly seemed keen to prevent Raines from drinking that “nasty” stuff.

Yet according to Raines' preferences, that was exactly the kind of thing he liked. It was hardly a punishment.

As his personal assistant, Lisbeth should have been well aware of this.

"Why don’t you tellmore about Mr. Raines? What he likes and dislikes. I want to ensure the staff takes good care of him." "Sure thing," Paz nodded.

After coming out of the kitchen, Aurelia walked out to the terrace.

The four brothers were engrossed in several rounds of bridge.

The ladies were sipping afternoon tea on the side, watching the game.

Aurelia placed a bowl of grapes on the stone table.

Sheryl said, "You shouldn't bother with chores like washing fruit, let the staff handle it." Aurelia smiled, "It's fine. I also went to the kitchen to see how Paz makes that turkey pie. I've never had a pie with turkey in it before." Turning to Lisbeth, she asked, "Do you know how to make it?" Lisbeth nodded, "I've learned, but it's never as good as when Paz makes it." Aurelia popped a grape into her mouth, with her thoughts drifting to the tarot reading from that morning.

The entire spread was ominous as if a tragedy of love and loss were about to unfold.

Beverley'’s tarot readings had been eerily accurate and Aurelia had witnessed them couple of times.

The first card drawn was the Knight of Cups, reversed, signaling betrayal.

Who was the betrayer, and who was betrayed? She patted Beverley on the shoulder, "Let's go pick scherry tomatoes in the back orchard. Join me?" Beverley nodded and followed her out.

As they reached the orchard, Aurelia picked up a basket, plucking cherry tomatoes as she spoke, "The tarot reading you did for Lisbeth this morning was downright spooky. Not a single good card in the layout. Have you seen anything like that before?" Beverley had been looking for someone to discuss this with, but since no one else brought it up, she didn't speak for fear of casting a shadow over Lisbeth. Aurelia's opening up the conversation excited her.

"Lisbeth, I've been doing tarot for years, and I've never seen a spread like that. I'm actually a bit worried for Raines and Lisbeth." Beverley said.

Aurelia said, "Shere. I know tarot can be very telling, that’s why I wanted to talk with you in private. The first card was the Betrayer, right?" "Yes, the Knight of Cups," Beverley confirmed.

Aurelia lowered her voice, "Could it be that Raines and Lisbeth will end up with a third wheel, like what happened withand Leopold?" "No, no, no," Beverley shook her head vigorously, "The betrayal indicated by the Knight of Cups isn’t about infidelity. It's about deceit, where one side has been insincere from the start, or has ulterior motives, and doesn't truly love the other." Aurelia stroked her chin, "Raines would never deceive Lisbeth. As a young master of the Stirling family, Raines has everything one could want in the world. He doesn't need to schfor anything from a woman." "Exactly," Beverley agreed, "For a man of his position, if he wanted to exploit women, it would only be for their beauty. If Raines were the type to chase after looks, he'd have a line of girlfriends by now. So, the deceiver can only be Lisbeth." Beverley always considered Aurelia a close friend, someone she could talk to about everything, which was why she was always straightforward with her.
