Melissa was fuming, tempted to kick William down the hillside so hard he'd shatter into a million pieces.

Aurelia pulled William close to her side, “Alright, no more mischief with Melissa. How about we have pot roast and bread for dinner tonight?"

William nodded enthusiastically. “I love the pot roast you make, Mommy."

The bodyguard lit the wood stove.

Aurelia sliced the pot roast she had brought and placed it on the stove to heat up.

This pot roast was her recipe, and both William and Kane were crazy about it.

Soon, a tantalizing aroma wafted through the air, and Skyler, drooling, squatted next to the stove, waiting to eat.

Melissa seized her plate back, “It's yucky, but I can't say it out loud?"

Skyler glared at her, “It's delicious. I've never had such an amazing pot roast before. You're just jealous because you can't cook like Angel.”

He loved the food, and everything Aurelia made was scrumptious.

Yuna spoke up, “Our lady is the most perfect woman in the world, without a doubt. It's normal for her to be envied.”

Megan bristled at these words. These bodyguards still regarded Aurelia as their lady. What did that make her?

“Yuna, have you lost your mind? Who is your boss, and who is your lady?"

“The one my boss instructs me to protect is my lady” Yuna said, not giving an inch, fully aware of who the boss truly cherished.

"You need to get it straight. I am your boss’ wife,” Megan declared loudly, emphasizing each word. She wanted all the bodyguards to understand that she was the legitimate Mrs. Stirling, and Aurelia was history.

Aurelia cast a wistful glance her way. "Lady is just a title, after all. She calls me Lady, but she doesn't call me Mrs. Stirling. Why are you so agitated? Even if it were Mrs. Stirling, you're not the only one. Katie, Catherine, Lana, they too are addressed as Mrs. Stirling out of respect.”

Megan was hit where it hurt, her face turning ashen.

Melissa quickly came to her aid, “What right do these shameless mistresses have to be Mrs. Stirling? Only the legitimate wife deserves the title of Mrs. Stirling.”

Leopold's cold voice slowly filled the air, “The right is mine to give. To me, a woman is either liked or not, there's no distinction between wife or concubine. A woman without value, even if married, can be just as easily dismissed.”

The words were meant for Megan.

Unless she proved her worth, she couldn't expect to remain in her position for long.
