Chapter 368

When Aurelia returned to her seat, her phone rang. It was a call from Arnolds assistant Russell. “Aurelia, Arnold has killed himself.”

"What?" A violent spasm ran through Aurelia’s heart. Her fingers twitched, koocking overs glass of wine on the table. Her face turned pale as she thought she must have

misunderstood. How could Arnold commit suicide?

Several people rushed to the hospital together.

Arnold had just been wheeled out from the emergency room and was still unconscious Fortunately, the housekeeper had found him in time, or the consequences would have been unimaginable.

He looked extremely gaunt, having lost a significant amount of weight, and a stubble circled his chin.

Aurelia was in agony, asking, “Russell, what happened to Amold recently? Why would he suddenly commit suicide?”

Russell told her about Arnold being manipulated by Lisa.

"Arnold broke down. He's been locking himself in his room every day. The doctor said he's suffering from depression, but he refused to take medication, causing his condition to

worsen.”

Fredric was furious, “I knew something was off with Arnold recently. Lisa is despicable, getting pregnant through such methods.”

Leopold remained silent, his face stern. He suspected there were other things Russell hadn't mentioned.

Aurelia was engulfed in deep guilt. If she hadn't been so decisive and offered him some comfort, he wouldn't have broken down.

Leopold wrapped an arm around her shoulder, “Let's go home for now. It's late, and we can see him again tomorrow.”

Aurelia nodded, her head lowered and her heart heavy during the ride home.

Once they arrived home, she sank into the couch, clutching a pillow and letting out a sigh.

“I had thought that Lisa would do anything to prevent Arnold from divorcing her, but I didn’t warn Arnold. I felt that since they were married, whatever happened was their private matter and had nothing to do with me. I shouldn't interfere.”

Leopold poured her a glass of warm milk and said, “You did nothing wrong. It would have been a grave mistake to remain entangled with him.”

Aurelia's long eyelashes cast a sorrowful shadow on her pale eyelids. “When I was paralyzed, it was Arnold who took care of me and helped me stand again. Now that he’s sick, I can't ignore him, because I owe him.”

Leopold frowned. This was exactly what he was worried about. He didn't want her to get close to Arnold again.

“You shouldn't assume the worst. He's not that fragile.”

"He's suicidal. Isn't that bad enough? Depression is not a small matter, and it's dangerous.” Aurelia’s voice grew louder, becoming somewhat agitated. She knew that Leopold didn't care much for Arnold. But she was different. In her heart, Arnold was her dear friend, her family. She couldn't just sit by and do nothing. She felt obliged to help him.

Leopold was upset. He wanted to say something but swallowed his words. He got up, walked to the fridge, and took out a can of chilled mineral water.

He took a sip and slowly said, “You can take care of Arnold, but from now on, you'll have

to move in with me.”

This was his condition. His tone was firm, allowing no room for refusal. Knowing his domineering nature, Aurelia had no choice but to agree.

A sly grin spread across Leopold's face as he scooped her up in his arms.

“What are you doing?” She was startled.

“We're taking a bath together.” He strode upstairs.

Aurelia was left at a loss for words, “I don't like sharing baths with anyone.”

“I'm not just anyone, Aurelia. I'm your husband.
