In the late afternoon, Aurelia returned hand decided to catch a quick nap. Before she knew it, Leopold was back from work.

Thinking she was still asleep, he quietly took a seat beside her, adoringly watching her rest. He could never tire of looking at

Aurelia.

Aurelia, however, wasn't asleep. She cracked open her eyes and whispered, "You're home?"

"Yes, did I wake you?" he asked gently, stroking her hair.

"No, I was just waking up," she replied, sitting up. He grabbed a cushion for her to lean against for comfort.

"Thirsty?"

"Yes," she nodded.

Leopold got her a glass of water with a slice of lemon and asked, "Did you go shopping with Lisbeth today?"

"Yeah, and we even ran into Megan," she mentioned casually.

Leopold's brow furrowed, "Megan? Isn't she the nutcase from the Alcott family? They actually let her out?"

"I think she snuck out. It didn't seem like she had anyone with her," Aurelia said.

Leopold wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "Next tyou bump into her, just have the bodyguard send her packing. No need

to waste words."

Aurelia smiled faintly, unbothered, "It's fine. At most, it's just a war of words. With the bodyguard there, she wouldn't dare to get

physical."

"Still, be careful. You're not just looking out for yourself anymore," he cautioned.

"I know," she sipped her lemon water, then whispered so softly it was almost inaudible, "I heard sgossip about Uncle Charles.

Have you heard?"

"What kind of gossip?" Leopold raised his eyebrows.

"Uncle Charles is apparently keeping a young starlet on the side," Aurelia shared.

Leopold didn't respond immediately. He went to the table, poured himself a glass of water, took a sip, and said with a serious tone,

"That's Uncle Charles' business. As long as Aunt Harriet doesn't mind, we should pretend we know nothing."

Aurelia watched his nonchalant demeanor and guessed he already knew. The young starlet was under contract with Luminous

Vision Media. As its CEO, he was likely privy to sinside information.

"You must be used to this sort of thing by now," she remarked.

Leopold shrugged, "I usually don't meddle in my uncles’ affairs. They play their games, and it's not my place to interfere."

Aurelia rolled her eyes, unimpressed. To him, infidelity was probably just a minor slip-up that all men made. After all, the Stirling

men were known for their colorful escapades, and it was likely sof that would rub off on him.

"I always thought Uncle Charles and Aunt Harriet were the perfect couple, sweethearts since childhood, each other's first love.

They seemed like a match made in heaven, a true example for us younger ones. And yet, before they even hit their golden

anniversary, Uncle Charles has strayed."

Leopold felt the heat rising in the conversation, "If Aunt Harriet isn't up in arms about it, who are we to meddle? We've gotta mind

our own business, unless she specifically asks for our help."

Aurelia pouted, "In this day and age, even true love can falter. It's another day fearing commitment."

Leopold, trying to lighten the mood, flicked her forehead lightly, "You're a married woman. What's there to fear?"

"Fearing I've married a bastard," she teased, "Will you turn out like Uncle Charles, seeking thrills outside when middle age hits?"

He choked on his water, "Is this what you're really worried about?"

With a sigh, Aurelia said, "Uncle Charles and Aunt Harriet had such a close relationship, and even he could stray. We don't have

that kind of history. Aren't you more likely to wander?"

Leopold said, "We are different. Is it fair to compare us?"

"You're both Stirlings, isn't it?" Aurelia scoffed, hinting at a legacy of philandering genes.
