Megan's tears streamed down her cheeks as she implored her mother, “Mom, I can’t go back to the psychiatric hospital. I'm not

crazy, but if you lockup again, I'll lose my mind. We're the Alcott family, one of Elysium's elite families. How can you just stand

by and watch Aurelia destroywithout lifting a finger?”

Callie let out a heavy sigh, the weight of the world in her breath, “Honey, you're mixed up with the mob now. How could you get so

tangled up with those criminals?”

“Without the letter from your father, confirming your mental instability, which they exploited, you'd already be behind bars.”

Megan pleaded, “I only worked with them because they promised to helpmarry Leopold. I did it all for the Alcott family. If I

becthe lady of the Stirling family, it'll shine on the Alcott Group too.”

John snorted dismissively, “You're causing a scandal. What kind of life do you expect with Leopold if you've wed him through such

dirty tricks? Can you outplay him? He's making a fool of you. Who knows if that child is even his?”

“My baby is Leopold's, I swear it. You have to believe me,” Megan implored.

John waved her off, “Leopold’s no fool. There are a hundred ways a man can avoid fathering a child if he wishes to.”

Desperate, Megan grabbed his hand, “Dad, where's my baby? Did you find him?”

“Why bother finding a child whose father is unknown? Better to act as if you never had this baby,” John coldly advised.

“But it’s Leopold's! Why won't any of you believe me? Once we find the child and run a DNA test, we'll know for sure,” Megan

countered.

“Enough. Spend the holidays quietly at home. Don’t stir up any more trouble. Otherwise, it's straight back to the mental health

facility,” John warned.

Megan was determined not to return to that psychiatric hospital. She'd rather die.

She needed a plan to escape and get away from Elysium.

At the Stirling Mansion.

Skyler played with the kids in the backyard, lifting William onto his shoulders, and pretending to soar through the skies.

“We're flying, William!” he shouted.

“Yay, flying!” William giggled with joy.

Mira watched with envy, her little arms outstretched, “Skyler, I wanna fly too!”

Nina pinched Mira’s cheek, “You're too heavy, Skyler can't lift you.”

Mira puffed her cheeks, her face flushed, “I'm not heavy and lighter than you!”

Nina glared back, “That's because I'm taller. I'm your big sister.”

Mira quivered her lips, but then Skyler set William down and beckoned her over, “Chere, Mira, I'll make you fly.”

Her face lit up, and she quickly reached for Skyler with her chubby hands.

Skyler hoisted her up, “I'm strong enough for anyone.”

Mira beamed a toothy smile, “You're the best, Skyler. I love playing with you the most. I don’t like playing with Nina at all.”

Nina stuck out her tongue at Mira, “Feeling’s mutual, you're such a klutz.”

In the sanatorium. Lisbeth entered the patient's room.

“Have you made a decision yet?” she asked.

Agent A glared at her fiercely, “I haven't decided, okay? What's the rush?”

“It's nothurrying you. It's your trunning out,” Lisbeth said. “The doctor examined you yesterday. Your muscles are

atrophying. If you don’t get the antidote soon, it'll be too late. Think about it, if you are a cripple, bedridden for life, what use would

you be to the boss then? Would he still keep you around?”

Agent A twitched his mouth slightly, but he replied, “I have no idea where he’s being held. Only the boss knows that.”
