Nina's sobs cin soft hiccups, "What about Mom? Will the police take her away? Do they know she's innocent?"

Aurelia stroked her hair gently, "Uncle Leopold will make sure they understand."

If he had guessed right, by now Leopold would have already sent someone to the police station.

In the living room, Lisa was questioning Skyler about hypnosis. Ever since she had been hypnotized at the Snowy Summit Retreat,

she had been on edge, terrified that she might lose consciousness again and do something dreadful.

"Skyler, are you sure the hypnosis is completely gone?"

Skyler flinched slightly, "Have you done anything strange lately?"

Lisa shook her head, "No, but I'm worried. I've watched smovies about hypnosis. The people in them seem normal but

whenever they hear a certain sound or get a hypnotic cue, they fall back under."

Skyler chuckled, "Movies tend to tize, you know? Rest easy. I've lifted the hypnosis. No sound should affect you unless you're

hypnotized again."

Lisa shivered at the thought. She did not want to be hypnotized again.

"Is there any way to prevent it?" she asked.

"There's counter-hypnosis, but it takes a while to learn," Skyler explained.

"Can you teach me?"

"Sure," Skyler nodded, "Next tyou're over at Stirling Mansion, we'll start your lessons."

William glanced at Kane, "Kane, you should learn with Aunt Lisa. Kids can't be hypnotized, but when you grow up, it's a different

story. If you learn counter-hypnosis now, you won't have to worry about it later."

"Okay," Kane nodded eagerly.

"lI want to learn too," Mira piped up. It seemed like a cool skill to have. Even though she wasn't keen on studying, she loved

acquiring new skills.

Skyler scratched his head, "Alright, then. I'll hold a class for you guys every morning. I am a teacher, after all."

In the afternoon, Leopold returned. He had arranged for Kevin to visit the police station and submitted evidence that Sheryl had

been impersonated.

Sheryl's assistant had becthe prsuspect for the police.

As a routine procedure, the police still needed to take Nina's statement to help catch the perpetrator swiftly.

Nina was extremely nervous, clinging tightly to Aurelia, her small hand gripping her arm.

Aurelia wrapped her in an embrace, "Don't be scared, sweetheart. Just tell the truth to the officers."

"Okay," Nina pursed her lips, "That day, the fake mom calledand toldto wait for her outside the resort. She handeda

box of chocolates. There were three green ones and the rest were red. She toldto give the green ones to Aunt Aurelia, Kane,

and Ms. Jelena, and that Mira and I could have the red ones. I asked her what the difference was between the green and red. She

said the taste. The red ones were the flavors Mira and I liked, and the green ones were for Aunt Aurelia and the others. I thought it

was strange. Mom was acting weird, not like her usual self. She never did odd things like that. But I was just a kid. How could I

suspect someone was pretending to be my mom? I figured the green ones wouldn't taste good, probably sbizarre flavor,

maybe something strong like vodka. Mom might have been playing a prank to get back at Ms. Jelena and Aunt Aurelia. But I

wouldn't give anything yucky to Aunt Aurelia and Kane because they're my family. As I walked past the palm grove, I saw that

nasty man hitting his wife. He was so bad, keeping a mistress and hitting his wife. I wanted to punish him, so I gave the green

chocolates to him and his mistress."
