"A Lycan?" My eyes grew to the size of saucers. I couldn't believe it. I never knew they existed, in fact I had only ever heard of them in fairytales. It was a legend that we've all heard at least once in our lives but that's all it was. No one has ever actually claimed to see one or even knew one for that matter.

"Yes. And so am I, and everyone else in this pack. We have had to keep ourselves hidden because of it, that's why it took Crane so long to find you."

"I didn't think Lycan's really existed." I said as I sat back down in my chair in complete disbelief.

"Li, we do exist and we have since the beginning of creation, in fact we are everywhere, just not in plain sight."

I sat there as his words entered my ear but I couldn't quite process what he was saying. My mother was a Lycan, he was a Lycan, Damon was a Lycan, got damn it everyone around me was a Lycan. Wait, does that mean...

"Yes Li, you are a Lycan too. In fact, you are full Lycan because our genes are so dominant that they destroy any other genes that try to form while you are growing in the womb. They take complete control over your entire genetic makeup."

What the hell? This can't be happening, right? "So you're telling me that the fairytales are true? That the legend of the Lycan is real? And now you're telling me that not only do they exist but I am one?"

"Li, the stories you heard as a child are completely untrue. We aren't uncivilized wolves. Quite the contrary, Lycan's are the extremely advanced, unbelievably strong and damn near immortal. We are almost impossible to kill. We are immune to silver and can heal almost ten times faster than a normal wolf. But we are also high skilled vigilante killers, which is why you're the best at what you do."

I smirked at his statement, I knew there was a reason I was so good at this. It's in my blood, my reason for living. But there are still so many questions I needed answered, especially about the dead asshat of a sperm donor who was my father.

"Did my sadistic freak of a guardian know this?" I asked as my stomach twirled at the near mention of his name.

It had been at least 10 years since I had thought of him and the day he died was the happiest day of my life. Pretty sad isn't it, that death filled something inside of me that no one has ever been able to reach, filling a void that was created by that pathetic excuse of a man himself. He thought he broke me but he was wrong, he only added fuel to the fire and that's what made me so damn good at what I do. I used the anger and pain he caused me and channeled it all into my kills.

"No, in fact he never knew about your mother either. We are very good at disguising ourselves to other wolves, call it a technique for survival."

I placed my head in my hands and leaned against his desk. This is too much information to retain in one day and to top it all off, he hasn't even mentioned my punishment. My whole body freezes at the thought. I wipe the beads of sweat that are threatening to erupt from my forehead and look right at him.

"Alpha, I'm glad you told me all this but can we cut this Dr. Freud shit and get to my punishment already?" I spit the words out so fast that I didn't even think it was me who had said them.

"Li, there will be no punishment. I told you I understood why you let him go and I will not punish someone for setting their past free, especially if you want to achieve what you've been training so hard for. We have to be broken to heal, believe me I know this and holding onto your past, well it prevents you from succeeding. What I'm saying is, don't let your past define your future."

I looked into his eyes and saw the years of pain he had harbored. He never talked about it but I knew it was eating away at him like a parasite taking over your brain and causing a zombie like state making your body move but your mind stay on an endless loop of sadness.

He took a swig of his scotch then slid the glass to me and laughed when I picked it up, gulping it down in one swallow.

"Now get out of here, you have a job to complete and it looks like you only have a week to do it!"

My lips formed into a devious smile as I relished in the fact that this was really happening. All my training and killing of useless Rogue's was finally going to pay off and I was going to make sure Bishop got what he wanted and hoped that I could truly prove myself to my pack, again.

The next morning Damon and I were on our way to Northridge. The majority of the trip was awkward partly due to the fact that I didn't know if he trusted me to actually do the job anymore or if I would fuck it up so royally that I would disappoint him further.

Ugh what am I saying? Why do I fucking care about his feelings? This is Damon he isn't some sensitive little boy, he's a got damn killer just like me. He'll get over it and if he doesn't, then fuck him!

"Northridge is about 10 more miles from here. We should be there in a half an hour." He said in his normally rough, pissed off voice.

I didn't say anything but instead nodded and continued walking towards town. We were going to be staying at the local hotel, courtesy of Alpha Bishop, and were to report to him only after the job was done.

Once we were close we changed into our disguises and walked into the hotel. We were told to check in separately so Damon went first and I walked in a bit later. Our rooms were on seperate floors but we had undetectable tracker phones available for our use while we searched for Phillips.

As soon as I got into my room I locked myself in and made sure every window and peephole was covered. I pulled out my weapons, which were disassembled in a bag that was sent ahead of us and placed in our rooms by some of Bishops henchmen. I quickly cleaned and inspected them, just incase they were tampered with, and reassembled them. We also had clothes and accessories that were waiting for us, per Romero's rules.

Once we were settled in, Damon called me to let me know Phillips was due at the club down the street at 1am, which gave me enough time to rest, eat then get ready. He wouldn't be with me as I lured him out of the club but he would be around for my help for in case things got out of hand, which would never happen. I may be a little shapely woman but I had enough fire in me to burn this whole damn town down if I had to.
