Chapter 19

Skylar's POV

It has been 2 months since mine and Jace's transformations and I'm still getting sick every now and then making Lucy and Amber joke about me being pregnant which makes me think and I realize that my period is late as in very late. I go for a drive to clear my head and I stop at a pharmacy and get a pregnancy test just to rule everything out. When I get back to the Silver Moon pack house I carefully make my way to the room Jace and I are staying in making sure to hide the pregnancy test as I open the door and peek my head in making sure Jace wasn't in the room. Once I'm sure he isn't in the room I close the door and head to the bathroom shutting and locking the door behind me so no one could walk in on me and see what I was up to. I sit down on the toilet and pee on the stick and set it on the counter next to the sink and wash my hands seeing as I have to wait about 3-5 minutes for the test to develop. I sit on the edge of the bathtub and when I check the time on my phone I see it's been about 5 minutes and I get up slowly and make my way over to the sink and look down at the test on the counter. As soon as my eyes land on the test and I look at the little window and see a big pink plus sign letting me know that I was pregnant. I sink to the bathroom floor for an hour until I hear my bedroom door open before Jace knocks on the bathroom door asking me if I was okay.

"I'm fine 1 just finished I'll be out in a minute babe" I say to him through the door as I discard the box and test making sure he wouldn't find it so I could come up with a cute way to tell him he was going to be a dad. Once I was done I unlock the bathroom door and open it to see Jace still standing there waiting for me.

"Are you sure you're okaii darling?" He asks me looking very concerned “I'm sure honey I'm totally fine, so what's up?" I ask him back with a big smile.

"Nothing just checking up on you and to let you know dinner is ready" Jace said to me grabbing my hand and pulling me with him downstairs to eat dinner. Once dinner was over we headed outside and went for a nice long walk before we came back to the house and went to out room to watch a movie and then sleep.

The next morning Jace had some things to do so he was going to be busy for the day which was perfect it gave me the time I needed to get what I needed to do done. After Jace left I went to the pack hospital which was a 10 minute drive from the pack house.

Once there I walked in and asked to see the doctor right away seeing as I was the only one there I got in relatively fast and I told the receptionist that if she called to tell my mate I was here I was going to kill her and I made sure to let my Luna tone seep into what I was saying to her so she knew I wasn't messing around. When I got into the back room I sat on the bed and waited a few minutes before the finally came in.

"Hello Luna Skylar I am Doctor Mills, Ramona Mills." She says very friendly shaking my hand with a nice firm grip

"It's nice to meet you. The reason I am here is because I think I'm pregnant” I tell her nervously

"Okaii lets have you lay back on the bed and I will be right back with the ultrasound machine.” she says before leaving the room. I lay back on the bed and get as comfortable as I can get when she comes back into the room with what I'm guessing is the ultrasound machine and sets it up beside the bed I was currently on.

"Alrighty now I'm going to lift your shirt up and I have I have to warn you the ultrasound gel is a little cold” she tells me as she squeezes some gel onto my stomach making me flinch at how cold it is and she puts the wand on my belly and starts moving it around and the next thing I know I hear a very fast heart beat.

"Is that my heart beat?" I ask her nervously trying not to let my emotions go through my mate bond as to not alarm Jace and have him come looking for me and ruin the surprise I have planned for him.

"No Luna that would be your baby's heart beat and by how big the baby is I would say that you are about 2 and a half months pregnant" she tells me as she takes some pictures of my little kidney bean. Once I was done wiping the gel off of my stomach she handed me the ultrasound pictures and I asked her not to tell my anyone about this seeing as I hadn't even told my mate yet and she agreed and I was off to the mall to buy some things to help me tell Jace that he was about to become a father.

When I was done and had everything I sat in the mall parking lot in my car as I put everything including the ultrasound pictures into a bag before putting some tissue paper on top and taping the bag closed. Once the gift was done and perfect I went back to the pack house I headed to a clearing that was about a 10 minute walk into the woods behind the pack house, before I mind linked Jace asking him to meet me there and when I got there I hid the gift beside me as I sat on a fallen log staring at the pond waiting for my mate.
