POV Gianna:

It’s been a few hours since the baby shower and Trigger comes out holding a little baby boy wrapped in an emerald green blanket.

“Everyone I would like you all to meet Kai Joseph Smith” Trigger says.

He angles him so we can all see but not touch.

“Gianna, Alex wanted you to be the first to hold him.” Trigger says.

My eyes glisten at the honor, Trigger places Kai into my arms and his little hand grabs my finger with force.

“He has a strong grip; he’s going to make a phenomenal warrior.” I say.

“He came out punching” Trigger laughs.

After a while, I hand him back to Trigger and the doors to the mom and baby open again. Aaron walks out with a sadden face.

Oh no, what happened. I rush up to him only for him to grab me into a bear hug.

“MY BOY IS HERE!” He shouts into my ear.

“You scared me. I thought something happened to the baby or Storm.”

He chuckles and tells me Storm wants to see me. I walk into her room which is right next to Alex’s. They might as well be in the same room.

“Congrats mama how you feeling? Can I see my nephew?”

She hands me my nephew and he looks just like his dad.

“Gianna, I would like you to meet your nephew Gideon Aaron Federico.” Storm says.

I chat with her a little longer then make my way to Alex’s room. Alex is knocked out, so I make my way back to the waiting room and then head home. I am exhausted. All I want to do is kiss my babies goodnight and go to sleep.

I make my way to Onyx’s room and kiss him on his forehead.

“Goodnight my beautiful boy”

I exit his room and walk to the twins room. I place a kiss on both of their heads as well.

“Goodnight Savanna. Goodnight Jahziel.

I walk into my bedroom and pour myself a drink. Not thinking about it just letting the alcohol ease my hurting soul. I am about five or six drinks when I hear my door open.

Thinking it is Onyx I remain on the bed.

“Come on baby, you can sleep in the bed with me.”

“I would love to join you in our bed” Rasheed’s deep voice penetrates my ears.

I jump and, in my drunkenness, I spill some of my Hennessy on me.

“Damnit!”

Rasheed is next to me in seconds, thinking something has gone wrong.

“What is it baby?” He asks.

“Get away from me, why are you even on this side of the house?”

I try to push him away, but my strength is weakened in my drunken state.

“Baby, please look at me” He pleads.

I look up at him, tears in his eyes. A few find their way down his cheeks. My body betrays me, and I am wiping his tears away. He leans in to kiss me and I move away.

“What do you think you are doing? I do not forgive you; I want you out of my room NOW!”

“Please baby, I did not sleep with that woman. I only met with her for conversation.” He says.

More tears are running down his face and my walls are breaking. I do not want to see my mate in pain, but I also don’t want to be looked at like a fool.

“That’s worse, you give this woman your time. Time where you could have talked with me. You played me. I am not some doormat, you cannot walk all over me and come as you please. What happens when we argue again? Are you going to run to her and tell her all your problems or are you going to find someone else that can give you more. You hurt me! You called me a dirty woman and avoided me like I was a plague. When I was in that hospital bed, I was hurt. My pack members turned their backs on me, YOU TURNED YOUR BACK ON ME!”

The pain in my heart is immense, but I do not want him to see my cry, I will not show weakness. This man has embarrassed me, and all my high ranks know it. I must look like a fool. He betrayed my

trust. He broke me, but at the same time I love him. I do not want any other man. This man I swore to love unconditionally, and I have to live up to that.

“What can I do to make it up to you? Please baby I will do anything!” He pleads again.

“Time, I need time!”
