I am in utter shock. How can this be, the future Alpha already has an heir? I can’t believe I was fantasizing about having pups with her and being my chosen mate when she already has a mate and heir. Why do I feel so strongly about this little Alpha?

I stand there feeling dumbstruck, until I feel something brushing against my arm. I jump at the faint spark I feel.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to touch you your majesty, but I called your name several times and you were not responding to me. I also want to apologize for why I was late meeting you upon your arrival. I had to pump breast milk for my son, it took a little longer than usual. I do apologize again.” She says.

“It’s alright I was just thinking about something and was a little lost in trance. Shall we?”

We walked in and she shows me around. I can’t believe how small these pups are.

“Most of the pups in this room were abandoned or lost their parents in this room. Although they are not as sick as the others, we take special care of them when we find good homes for them. The next few rooms are the postpartum rooms. These rooms are designated for the parents when they spend the night before their pups are discharged, or when their pups do not make it. My son Onyx is in the last room. Would you like to meet him?” She explains.

I nod and we head to the last room on the right. It is obvious that she is nervous. I reach to gently touch her shoulder to try and calm her. There it is again a faint spark, am I losing it?

We enter the room and there is a nurse checking his vitals.

“Alpha Gianna, your Majesty” She bows.

Gianna walks over to her son and scoops him up. There are wires and tubes attached to him and it breaks my heart. The nurse brings over a warm blanket and Gianna sits down.

“I’ve linked an Omega to come and take you back to the pack house, I need to feed my son and stay with him a little longer. I can meet you in an hour or so in my office unless you have some other plans?” Gianna states.

“If you don’t mind, I’d rather stay here, it’s very comforting here.”

“Very well, I just need to pump so, allow me a few minutes.” She replies.

She undoes her top and the most beautiful breast topple out. Being a werewolf has advantages, no one fears being naked. She attaches some suction cup like things to her breast and turns on the machine. I look at her with bewilderment.

A soft chuckle comes from her mouth. It is the most wonderful sound I have heard.

“It’s called a breast pump. It sucks the milk out of my breast. I cannot breast feed him just yet because he is still too small and has not grasped the concept of latching on.” She says while smiling down at her pup.

We stay for a little longer and then we head back to her office to talk about our alliance.

Upon arriving at the office her father, the current Alpha, and my father, are waiting by her door.

“How was the tour your Majesty?” Her father asks.

“It was great! You have a good handle on your pack and my tour guide was very informative. She has a bright future. We stopped at the pack hospital, and she showed me how advanced your practices are. I am very impressed.”

I see his eyes glaze over telling me he is mind linking someone. I look at Gianna and her eyes are glazed as well. I hope I didn’t get her in trouble. Ugh why am I so concerned about someone who has a mate already.

We enter her office, and I must say it is not what I expected. I was expecting something really girly. On the contrary it was sophisticated. Soft blue walls with white furniture. What caught my eye was the huge wall-to-wall bookcases, that were wrapped around two walls. One wall of bookcases was nothing but medical books, while the other bookcases were of all things’ Werewolves, our laws, traditions, different types of Werewolves. I am utterly impressed by this little Alpha.

“Shall we sit” She politely interrupts my gawking.

She sits in her seat, and her father sits to the right of her, and my father and I take a seat across from her.

Alpha Anton is about to begin to speak when her normally quiet gentle voice comes out confident, firm but very soothing. “Actually Alphas, if you don’t mind since I will be taken over once I shift, I was wondering if it would be ok if I lead the meeting?” She stares at me then her father.

You can see the pride on her father’s face. We talk for over an hour, and she does not waver from her business-like attitude.

The meeting is almost coming to an end, and she looks me square in the face and says “Although I am young and already have an heir with no mate, please believe me when I say I will do everything in my power to protect my pack and help my alliance packs. So, your majesty after our debate today I am willing to sign the alliance are you willing to stay in alliance with us?”

“You have my word, if any threat comes your way, I will be standing in front of you one hundred percent. I will continue our alliance” I say with a huge smile on my face.

“I am very happy without a doubt to stay in the alliance, although I do not want someone protecting me or insinuating, as I can’t do my job as an Alpha. I want someone that will stand beside me in a war and not just come to my rescue because I am a woman. I apologize for being so blunt, but I do not like it when people look at me like a delicate flower. I am going to be the Alpha for a reason.” She says firmly.

I chuckled and apologized. It was not my intention to belittle her. With a nod of her head, she stands.

“I have arranged dinner for us all. If you would like to join us, it is Mexican food, beef fajita’s I believe.” she says.

“My favorite, I’d appreciate it very much, shall we?”

We walked out of her office with Gianna trailing behind.
