Chapter 4 

FOUR YEARS AGO 

ISABEL 

“You look lovely in that dress. I heard my favorite voice and through the mirror I saw him, leaning towards the door as he stared at me. 

I blushed. I turned towards his direction and ran towards him. I wrapped my arms around him and he held me firm, k*ssing all over my face while I giggled. 

Tye missed you so much. I didn’t think you’d come back so soon. How have you been?” I asked Logan. 

Tve been good. I’ve missed you. Four days away from you made me lose lots of weight but I’m sure I’d get them back now that I’ve seen you,” he replied and I chuckled, hitting his chest lightly. 

I’ve missed you so much, I heaved a sigh of relief as I hugged him. 

“Now that I’m back, we’d do the needful and get married. I cannot wait for you to finally be mine,” he said, looking intently into my eyes. 

“What about your father? He’s yet to approve of us,” I stated. 

He placed his hands on my waist, running down up and down. “Don’t worry about him. The only reason he doesn’t want you is because you are an omega wolf but in no time, he’d accept you.” 

As convincing as his words were, I was still bothered by it. Alpha Rutherford Smith detests slaves. He looked down on us and didn’t deem us worthy of standing in his presence. 

He has never approved of Logan and me but Logan stood by me. For a prince, Logan had different principles from his father. He was nothing like his father. He was compassionate and a good listener while Alpha Rutherford was a dictator. He does what he wants and doesn’t listen to the needs or opinions of others. 

He placed a strand of hair behind my ear. “It’s going to be fine my love. Don’t worry about my father after all I’m your mate and not him and I accepted you didn’t I?” 

“I love you, Isabel. You are the only woman I want in my life and I promise to stand by you no matter what it takes,” he assured me. 

I smiled at his words. He always reassured me. He knew just what to do and what to say to make me feel at ease. He makes me fall in love with him every day. 

“Let’s not ruin the mood you know. I’ve missed you and I know you’ve missed me too,” he said, staring at my l*ps and I knew 

What he wanted at that moment. 

I’ve missed you so much, I spoke, my voice husky from the sudden emotions in me.

He pulled back to look into my eyes. 

“How about all three?” I replied with a smile. 

“Damn! Your smile is beautiful but I love it when you cry in pleasure so how about I grant your wish,” he spoke. 

He glanced at his wristwatch. “We have twenty minutes because I have a meeting with my father. I will be sure to drive you to ecstasy.”

“How long will the meeting take?” I questioned as he put on his pants.

“I don’t know how long it would take but leave your door open, will come back this night or you might as well come to my room and wait there for me, what do you think?” He suggested and I smiled in return. 

Someone knocked on my door at that moment. 

“Are you expecting anyone?” He asked and I shook my head 

I put on my dress to go answer the door. 

“Hey Cassie, is there a problem?” I asked. 

“Is Prince Logan with you?” He asked. 

Logan appeared behind me shortly,

“What is it?” He asked Cassie. 

Cassie bows as a means of respect before replying, “The Alpha king seeks your presence.”
