Supernaturals: Legends of Iris.
Thirty four.

We all ran out of the arena towards the entrance of the school and we were shocked. Because standing there, surrounded by guards was someone we least expected.

Carl Robertson.

He looked beaten up. He was covered in bruises and had obviously lost a lot of weight and blood. My eyes trailed down to his lower abdomen and were met with a gory sight.

On his stomach was a long open slash. His organs were basically spilling out and his hand was the only thing holding them back.

He fell on his knees once he saw Iris approach and bowed lowly despite the immense pain he was.

" Elysian." He rasped.

Carl had never called Iris the Elysian. He either called her by her first name, Iris or by her surname, Gonzalez.

" Move." Iris said to the guards but they didn't budge. She let out a low growl before they finally moved. She exchanged words with Carl speaking in a low tone.

" What are they saying?" Rose asked and I shrugged.

" Can't you use your super wolf hearing?" Bryan asked.

I trained my ears trying to listen to their conversation but I couldn't hear anything.

" She's blocking us out." I sighed.

" Can she do that?" Ara asked and I nodded.

" Who is that guy?"

" That's Carl Robertson. He was a former guardian before he turned evil and was banished. I'm surprised you didn't hear of it."

" I did but I didn't know it was him." Ara replied.

Iris touched Carl healing the slash on his stomach but she didn't heal his other wounds. She turned to the guards and spoke,

" You have 15 minutes to have him cleaned up and properly dressed before bringing him to the conference room."

They nodded and left with Carl. She turned to us and said,

" We're meeting in the conference room 15 minutes from now. Don't be late."

" Oh and Shirley, could you please inform the Elders of the meeting?"

Shirley nodded and went to get the Elders.

" What do you think happened to him?" Ara asked.

" I have no idea."

" Maybe he got mauled by a bear." Bryan mused but Rose shook her head in disagreement.

" I don't think that's what happened."

" How did he find the school if his animal has turned evil?, Or is it possible for evil animals to turn back?" Ara asked and we shrugged.

" We are as oblivious as you are." I said as we walked into the school and towards the conference room.

Iris was seated at the head of the table with Rose on her right and Ara on her left. But the rest of us were seated randomly.

Carl was brought in by the guards with his head hung low.

" You may leave." Iris said and the guards bowed before leaving.

" How did you find the school?"

" I don't know Elysian. I was hoping to find a shifter camp as I walked through the forest and I found myself here."

" What happened to you?, How did you get all these bruises?" Rose questioned.

He looked at her and then at Iris. He was clearly shocked by how much authority she was speaking with and how Iris didn't question it.

" I was captured by magicians." He said and we all perked up.

" Magicians?" Iris asked and he nodded.

" Yes Elysian. They took me and tortured me in their dungeon because I refused to release information about you."

" You refused to stab Iris in the back?, I find that very hard to believe." Rose said.

" I didn't, your lord-"

" Rose is just fine."

" Why?" Iris asked calmly.

" I had already wronged my people by turning evil, I didn't want to wrong them any further."

" I am not going to overlook the fact that you turned evil. You still have to pay."

" I understand Elysian."

" How did you escape?" Ara asked.

Iris turned to look at her and she held her lips.

" Sorry." She mumbled.

Iris smiled at her slightly and then turned to Carl.

" Answer the question."

" A magician saved me. He-he helped me escape."

Iris looked at Seb and Shirley and they had a silent conversation with their eyes.

" I'll let you stay here." Iris said and we turned to look at here.

" Iris he has been banished by the council." Mr T reasoned.

" And I, the Elysian am unbanishing him. He will be placed under constant surveillance and he will also be punished. But I'll leave the punishment for the council to decide."

" Thank you so much Elysian." Carl said bowing.

" It's Iris and you know it." Iris stated.

" Thank you so much, Iris."

She nodded and stood up.

" Meeting adjourned." She said and we all stood up.

" Guardians, let's get back to our training."

I looked at Carl and saw the regret on his face. He could and should have been with us if he hadn't turned evil.

" You have no right to overrule our judgement!" Councilman Roberto exclaimed as he entered the arena.

" Well hello to you too Councilman Roberto. So nice of you to drop in and interrupt my training session." Iris replied sarcastically.

" What is this I hear of you letting Carl Robertson the banished shifter back in?"

" The truth. I let Carl back in. But he is not going to be joining the guardians and he will also be punished as you see fit."

" Why would you do that?!, He was banished for a reason." He stated.

" And I let him back in for a reason."

" This is what happens when we let a teenager run our fraction." He muttered under his breath but we all heard him.

Iris growled loudly and her lilac eyes glowed.

" You may be a councilman but I am still the Elysian and you will respect my decisions." Iris stated and he gulped while nodding nervously.

The councilman was obviously out of line with his statement. Yes Iris was a teenager, but she was still higher up than him so he still had to show her a level of respect.

" We respect your decision." The head councilman said and Iris nodded.

" We were actually on our way here before we heard of you reversing our judgement."

" Why were you coming here?"

" The Alpha Council want to meet with you." Councilman Rebecca said.

" Why?"

I smiled at the thought of the Alpha Council coming. That would mean my dad was coming.

" Well they are also shifters so they would like to see the leader everyone has been buzzing about."

Iris rolled her eyes and spoke,

" Do I actually have a say in this?"

" No. No you don't."
