" Ara you are a spirit user. You possess spirit!"

" Doesn't everyone have a spirit?" She asked and I chuckled.

" I mean you are a Spirit Elementist."

" Hold up, Spirit?"

" Yes. There were originally 5 elements. Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Spirit. You and I are the only spirit elementist that exist well, that I know of."

" Wow!" She said looking down at her hands.

" Is it true?" Elder Moira asked as the Elders entered the arena.

" It is. Ara is a Spirit Elementist."

" Amazing!" Elder Nimah exclaimed softly as she touched Ara's hands.

" I told you, you're special." I said bumping my hips with Ara and she smiled.

" We not only re-discovered spirit, but we also discovered 2 spirit users!" Elder Eamon said.

" So will you teach me how to control spirit?" Ara asked looking up to me.

" Honestly there's not much to teach since I just got mine a few weeks back."

" But you have some basic knowledge right?, I mean you do know how to control it."

" I'll teach you what I know and we'll learn the rest together. Sounds good."

" It does."

" Go to the room and rest. You're gonna feel really tired soon. You used a lot of spirit and it will surely wear you out."

" Thanks Iris." She said suddenly hugging me. I ruffled her hair and smiled.

" You're always welcome."

" You ready for spirit training?"

" Yes but I have just one question."

" What is it?"

" Why is there a pile of sugary snacks and drinks in the arena?"

" Using spirit drains your energy so they are here to help us regain our energy when we use too much spirit."

" Okay."

" So first I'm going to teach you the most basic form of spirit, charming. Spirit users can charm just like magicians can enchant. But spirit users can only charm silver objects."

I brought out a silver spoon I had stolen from the dining hall.

" So I'm going to charm this spoon. What should I charm it to do?"

". Uhh, charm it so it can make whatever you eat taste like doubl chocolate chip cookies!"

I gave an incredulous look and she shrugged.

" What?, I love cookies."

" Okay. Quick question what fruit do you hate?"

" I absolutely detest pineapples." Ara replied.

" What normal person hates pineapples?"

" They taste awful!"

I rolled my eyes and called Rose using our telepathy.

" Rose!"

" What?!, Get out of my head Iris I'm in class."

" I need you to get something from me."

" No. Get it yourself. I'm busy."

" I can't I'm in the middle of training Ara."

" And I'm in the middle of a class!"

She tried blocking me out but I kept slipping back in.

" Fine!, What do you need?!"

" Pineapple slices."

" So you want me to leave a class to get you pineapple slices?!"

" Yes. Yes I do."

" Unbelievable!, How does not having pineapple slices affect your training?!"

" Just bring them."

I slipped out and spoke with Ara as we waited for Rose.

" Here!" She thrust the bag in my hand .

" Thank you. Now you can go."

Rose sighed then turned Ara and said.

" Please I beg you, don't be like her when you're older."

" Why not?, Iris is awesome!"

Ara and I fist bumped and Rose sighed walking out of the arena.

" Okay so what do we need pineapple slices for?"

" Eat." I thrust a slice to her.

" No thank you."

" That wasn't a request."

She took the slice from me and took a bite with a sour look on her face.

" How does it taste?"

" Horrible."

" Now try eating it with the charmed spoon."

She used the spoon to place the slice in her mouth. She chewed and smiled.

" How does it taste now?"

" Amazing!, Like double chocolate chip cookies."

She took the bag containing the rest of the slices and ate them moaning in satisfaction. She was about finishing the last slice when she spat it out and wretched.

" Eww!, That tastes horrible?"

" What happened?"

" I don't know, it tasted so good and then all of a sudden it tasted like pineapples again."

" That's because every charm has a limit. You didn't let me finish before you went ballistic and started eating all the pineapples."

She shuddered as I mentioned pineapples and I rolled my eyes.

" Now your turn. Try charming your spoon. I'm gonna call Rose to get us more pineapple slices."

" Are you sure you're ready?" Cole asked and I nodded.

" I am."

He squeezed my hand lightly and I turned to face the group of people seated in Mr T's office.

" I know you're all anxious to know what happened. Why I changed. But I can't tell you. It's too painful. But I can show you."

Cole squeezed my hand lightly in assurance and I smiled.

I closed my eyes and quietly said a spell. The spell was to bring my memories to life. So they could see what happened.

It was painful for me. I was like I was reliving that day again. I could feel the tears as they rolled down my cheeks as I remembered my dead brother.

Cole's POV.

Iris showed us what happened to her that day.

Even though she had already told me what happened, I was still stunned by what I saw. When she said they tortured Austin, it was an understatement.

She started shaking violently and I went to sit by her rubbing the back of her hand.

She gasped and the memories disappeared. She took in deep breaths as I continued to run the back of her hand. I could see the tears prickling at the side of her eyes and I hugged her.

" Austin?!" Rose said her voice breaking.

" He-he-he's-"

Iris nodded and Rose let out a strangled cry.

Noone in the room was dry eyed after seeing what Iris had been through.

" He was like a younger brother to me." Chris sniffled.

They all offered their condolences and Iris smiled softly.

" We're sorry for pushing you. We had no idea-"

" It's okay. There's no way you could have known." Iris replied.

Ara whom had been unusually quiet then spoke.

" They have to pay!" They have to pay for what they did. If you didn't stop them, my entire village would have been tortured too!"

" They will." Seb assured her.

" But when?!"

" No one knows when the war is set to take place." Elder Horace said.

Then Iris's eyes glazed over.

" Nimashtia Losani Moranta Dubaria!" She started chanting.

" What's going on?!, What's happening to her?!"
