150- Brothers and bonding 

We all read about how Harry continued to blatantly flirt with Cam. He even went so far as to TELL her that they’re soul mates. Unsurprisingly, she didn’t believe a word out of his mouth, and since he didn’t tell her HOW he supposedly KNOWS they’re meant to be together, Cam just wrote it off as another terrible line from the overly flirtatious Incubus. We all wish him better luck next time and Amber congratulates him on finding his soul mate and complains a lot about how jealous she is that we all got to meet her first. 

COCK TALES 

Bellamy- Harrison. You are an idiot and your methods of flirting are tragic. 

Harry- Like you can talk ‘Alpha‘ you’re the one who sent Ryann running with your attempts at 

flirting! 

Ryann- HARRY! 

Harry- What? I’m the closest thing you have to an older brother. It’s my JOB to give him hell. It’s how I show I care. 

Bellamy- Well when he puts it that way… 

Megan- Wait, seriously… he got away with that? 

Bellamy- Sure, if he gets to be an ass to me about my relationship I can take it. At least I HAVE a relationship.

Harry–To be fair, my methods have always worked in the past… 

Ryann- Well yeah… but are you looking for the same thing you were looking for in the past? Maybe you should try to branch out a little? 

Harry–Well… you know me best. If you think I should try and act less like myself, I can give it

Megan- No! Still be yourself, just maybe give Cam a chance to see your less shallow side. Share more of yourself. She already knows you’re attractive and charming. Maybe let her see some of your other qualities? 

Bellamy- He has qualities other than being a pretty boy flirt? 

Megan- Not helping Bels! 

Amber- Sure he does. He just has to work out what they are.. 

After that, the conversation devolves to all the men bickering and insulting each other. Except Aaron who never says anything. I get a couple messages in private chats. 

Darrien- I claimed you as a sister first! Just because I don’t talk back to the Alpha doesn’t 

mean I care less… 

Ryann- I know that. <3 You take care of me in your own way. Don’t think I don’t appreciate it. 

Darrien- Good. Just making sure you know. 

That makes me smile. But it’s the message from Aaron that makes me full on laugh. 

Aaron- Thanks. 

I’m giggling to myself when I put my phone aside.It’s funny how differently everyone reacts. to hearing about their threads. In Darrien’s case, elation and hope. Amber, pretty much complete acceptance. Harry basically just became even more determined than he usually is and me… I probably reacted the worst. With fear. Still, I’m definitely doing better than I was when I first found out. Harry reacted fairly well tonight, actually he reacted amazingly. He’s always had a lot of faith in my magic, it’s why we became friends in the first place. He has never once questioned my abilities. He’s always thought the best of me. Actually, Harry thinks the best of almost everyone. He might seem flighty but he really is a good friend to have. I wish Bellamy could see that a little more. Bellamy has been sitting beside me this whole time 

smirking at his phone.

“Hey Hels? Maybe take it a little easier on Harry? I don’t mean you need to suddenly be nice. to him but… I don’t think he’s actually as confident as he acts. He knows that most people. see him as… What did you call him? A pretty boy flirt? So he doesn’t bother to correct them, but he really is my friend and he really is a good person. I wish you would give him a chance.” I tell him nervously. I don’t want to make Bellamy feel bad, but I don’t want him to tear Harry down for the sake of weird male bonding either. Bellamy looks a little stricken. 

“… you’re right. That was probably uncalled for. I’ll reel it back from now on.” He promises. 

“Thankyou.” I tell him, cuddling into his side. Bellamy leans his head down on mine and smoothes my hair out of the way with his free arm. Then he freezes and scrunches up his 

nose. 

“What’s wrong?” I ask, confused. 

“One second.” Bellamy jumps up from the bed and dashes into the ensuite. He returns with at damp cloth and without pausing, wipes my right cheek thoroughly. He then throws the cloth over his shoulder back into the bathroom where it lands with a light thud. 

“What are you doing?” I ask, very confused. Bellamy just leans in and presses a soft kiss to my freshly cleaned cheek. 

“Much better. I might be trying to like the Incubus more, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to tolerate his kisses on you.” Bellamy half growls the words and I roll my eyes. Still, I don’t complain when Bellamy presses another kiss to my other cheek. I end up relaxing back into the pillows as he leans towards me. I’m waiting for a proper kiss, except it never comes. Bellamy suddenly backs off. He moves all the way away from me and makes a show of checking his phone even though it’s only been like two minutes since he last checked it. What is going on? This isn’t the first time in the last couple days that he’s done this. It’s like he’s suddenly avoiding me, but somehow he’s still just as clingy as ever. He just isn’t actually trying to take things any further than maybe a light kiss. I wouldn’t be concerned except he was definitely taking things further before, and while I might have asked him to slow down a few times, I didn’t stop him completely and I definitely didn’t mind. What has suddenly. changed? He’s acting differently and I don’t know what to do about it. Ugh, screw it. This is probably going to be completely embarrassing, but Bellamy seems to like dealing with problems straight on, not to mention neither of us is intuitive enough to take a hint unless 

are basically bulldozed with it. It’s time for me to just ask him.

“Bellamy? This is probably going to sound a little insane, but are you avoiding kissing me? Because you’ve been acting… different, and I’m not sure if I did something, or if something ist bothering you. I don’t know what to do about it so I’m just asking. Am I imagining things?” I ask, my voice getting more and more quiet and unsure the more I ramble on. Bellamy raises. an eyebrow and comes to sit beside me. 

“I just kissed you like two seconds ago.” He points out. I roll my eyes. 

“That’s not what I mean and you know it. You’ve stopped trying to REALLY kiss me. What changed?” I demand. Bellamy’s smile falls from his face and his shoulders drop. 

“You’re… worried?” He asks in clarification and I nod anxiously. He groans and drops his head.
