Case 13: The War Part I

Aron and Blaze arrived at the SCIS building, the rest of the Dragons arrived at the scene of the crime, there was a massive destruction, craters, train carts over the place and destroy.

Nicolas with some bandage, but still working on a computer, and there it was the man that wanted to protect Scarlet from harm.

Aron stares furious at Tensei, but Blaze hold him back and walk ahead of him, she point her finger at the rest of the Dragons and to stay put there, he also notice a SCIS army men that looks like Scarlet, but with green eyes.

Blaze got near Tensei, he was badly injured and beat up, she notice that Vlamid and Nelson are there as well and a human man.

“What the hell happen Tensei, it suppose that you, protect the Black Dragon not let them have her” said Blaze confuse

Tensei glare at Blaze

“Next time you protect her, beside Scarlet has a strong will, she won’t die that easily, nor she won’t be able to break the bond she has with Shadow” said Tensei

“But?” Ask Nelson knowing that there is something else

“But, she can seal her and Shadow’s soul within her, leaving an empty shell for the Black Sorcerer to take control of her body and power” said Tensei

They got worry, then Blaze look at the human man taking all the conversation

“And who is this piece of handsomeness?” Ask Blaze checking out the human

“I am Edward Walker, Captain of the SCIS army, squad 15 and older brother of the Black Dragon apparently” said Edward angry

“Quite an attitude, I like it” said Blaze

Aron, Titania and Otto, catch up a bit on their training progress, as they walk on a scene where they saw a bit of blood, Aron hope that it wasn’t Scarlet’s, but he can let his emotions shows, recently he is starting to learn a few new power controls and he isn’t ready to try it out yet.

Then in that moment, Nicolas shouted excited, he call out to everyone and they gather up around him.

“Mister Kurohi, I manage to pin point her location, the Sorceress is located in the Land of the Province, strange that she is in the place where the Black Sorcerer used to live, but she is there” said Nicolas

He shows everything he manage to find as where the Sorceress is to the legend she had made and her mysterious powers of Light. Aron didn’t wanted to waist time, Scarlet’s life is depending on it.

Tensei created a wide abyss enough for all of them, they enter and arrive at a town. They scout the entire place to find this Sorceress, they decided to split up, that way they could cover much more ground.

Titania and Otto, search the west side of town, they search and ask questions inside that district, without luck they didn’t find anyone that might be a Sorceress, they came across an old lady that was trying to cross the streets, they soon help the old woman cross it.

“There you go ma’am, safe and sound on the other side” said Otto

“Thank you so kindly you two, say, you little kids aren’t from around here?” Ask the old lady

“We are here searching for legends, have you heard someone that use to be a Sorceress around here?” Ask Otto

The old lady thought for a second

“I heard rumors in the North side Bar name Spell Bound, you might find some information there” said the lady

“We humbly Thank you” said Titania

Both of them left the old lady do her things, when Otto turn to wave goodbye, she had disappeared.

Vlamid and Blaze, are walking the East district, they were discussing about the things that they couldn’t speak about, due to the fact that Tensei’s student is mate to Blaze student and that the rest of the Dragons don’t know about Scarlet’s true identity.

As they continue to walk, they came inside a library in hopes to find information about the Sorceress, then an old lady (the same one that Titania and Otto meet) walk toward them asking for help getting a book and wondering why some unfamiliar faces were doing in the town.

Vlamid, the gentleman he is, answer her question telling her that they are looking for a friend, the old lady told them the exact location to Vlamid and Blaze, in the Spell Bound Bar, both the demons went off toward the North District.

Tensei and Nelson are walking as he started to ask about methods of training for Otto, Tensei mention to him that each Dragon is different, that Scarlet’s case was special due to the fact that she had her powers at the age of 15, they arrived at a small coffee shop, as they hear most of everyone’s conversation he heard the voice of an old lady that was talking to herself on both men’s side, they both jump, the same thing were ask and answers, Tensei and Nelson left toward the Spell Bound Bar.

Nicolas felt very scare, the fact that he had Scarlet’s older brother on one side and a dangerous Golden Dragon on the other side, is very hard to breath between those two.

“So you are Scarlet’s Older Brother Edward” said Aron

“That is Captain Walker to you, Agent Kingston” said Edward

Aron growl and slap his head, the thought that the man sound just like his Girlfriend when she is mad at him.

“Call me Aron, after all I am dating your sister” said Aron

“Oh I see now, so the Dragon thing is contagious? So Scarlet is sick of this Dragon illness?” Ask Edward glaring at Aron

“Dragon contagious? What the hell are you talking about?” ask Aron

“When I receive a call that there are strange phenomenon happening in the New Glacier area, I thought that it was two monsters fighting, I never expect to find my Sister fighting with a Demon King on her own and kicking his ass!” Said Edward

“What are you talking about?” said Aron confuse

In that moment Nicolas decided to step in, he doesn’t want to explain to both her brother and boyfriend that she is the Black Dragon.

Nicolas sees a Bar, call the Spell Bound Bar, he thought that they could find information inside.

When they walk in they see the rest of the group and the bar is pretty much empty. They are all confuse, when they heard the sound of foot steps. The same old lady came to view and smile at them, the rest of the Group except for the two human and the Golden Dragon, freak out.

“Is nice to see all of you, now if you don’t mind me asking why is the legendary three Dragons. Great Demons and two humans are doing in the Province?” Ask the old lady

All of them were speechless, Aron came in front

“We are here in search of the Sorceress of Light, we hope that she can help us win this war back home and safe a very special friend of ours” said Aron

The old lady raise one of her eye brown at him

“War?” ask the old lady

“Yes, a demon and a fairy, are trying to revive the Black Sorcerer. They took a friend of ours, for some unknown reasons and they are keeping her hostage, we don’t know were or what they are doing” said Aron

The old lady sigh

“Reviving isn’t what they are going to do, they are going to free him, using the powers of the Four Dragon crystal, those crystals symbolize the bond that a dragon and human souls have, they are going to break it. As for your friend I don’t know what they are going to do to her, the Sorceress can’t help you as long as the forth Dragon doesn’t exist” said the old lady as she turns around

Tensei stop in front of Aron

“The Black Dragon exist and I train her myself, she is very much alive!” said Tensei

The rest of the Dragons and Edward were surprise, as for the demons and Nicolas weren’t. The old lady turns around and look at the Raven demon.

“What did you just said?” ask the old lady

Tensei remain quiet, knowing that this Scarlet wanted to tell the truth before the war started, but going in battle unexpected or unaware that she is the Black Dragon will shock not only the world, but Aron and the other Dragons as well.

Tensei took a deep breath and thought forgiveness to Scarlet

“Is not my right to tell all of you the truth, but there is no time to waist…The real Black Dragon survive, he flew away from his hometown, to New Glacier, he hid in the woods behind a family mansion. The thing is that a small child found him and name him Dark, he never thought that a small human child could be his tamer’s reincarnation. She grew up, and as Dragon law said that their successor has to be 21 or older to become a Dragon or it’s tamer, but some unfortunate circumstances, the child was badly injured at the age of 15 and she was dying quickly, Dark didn’t wanted to lose his successor, so he made the connection and save her life by giving his” said Tensei

The old lady widen her eyes to hear such truth

“The child would have die, the power of the Dragons isn’t a joke!” said the old lady

Tensei nods

“True to your words, the child suffer severe skeletal pain, her body was ripping her apart, she was in grave and constant extreme muscle pain, indescribable in how she felt. A year after her soul change, she found her mate, a human, but her mate was trick by another human and they broke off, feeling such rage I interfere before Darkness consume her. I train her, until she was 21, she study for Doctors degree and found a job that she can use her abilities, but keep her identity a secrete” He look at the other 3 Dragons in grief and sympathy

“You might know her as Kurohi, but she use it to hide the truth from the other Dragons, to protect you from the Dragon Hunter and preventing from something like this to happen, in the end, the enemy got her and they are going to find a way to control her” said Tensei looking directly at Aron

“Master Tensei, as far as we know the enemy has Scarlet, not Kurohi, she die in my arms! And you are saying that she is alive?!” said Aron confuse and angry with all the secret

“That is the thing kid. Kurohi’s real name is Scarlet Hope Walker” finish Blaze revealing the truth

The Dragons eyes widen in shock, they had been deceived by Scarlet, Aron realize why the enemy didn’t let go of her when they try to negotiate, because she is the real deal.

“Scarlet is the Black Dragon? No, that is not true!” Said Otto

“She may be strict and stubborn, but a Dragon? If she were one of us, we would had smell her Dragon scent a long time ago” said Titania

“She learn how to control it, she can either be human or Dragon” said Nicolas

Aron stood up

“You knew?” he ask to Nicolas

Nicolas nods his head

“I knew it from the start of our partnership, that Scarlet was the Black Dragon and I had been helping her as Kurohi, I am sorry” said Nicolas

The old lady walk toward Aron and started to check on him, mostly on his collar bone or his Dragon marking

“If he is the Black Dragon’s mate, she would had mark you, why didn’t she?” question the old woman

Tensie answer her question

“She didn’t want Aron to feel the pain she is going to suffer pretty much soon” answer Tensei

The old lady search in Aron’s eyes, she made a sudden movement that cause Aron to bend a bit, she grabs his head and stare at his eyes, then she sees what he saw.

Scarlet trying to control her self from jumping his bones when they were in College, the moment that they spend together, she even notice that Scarlet never reveal her full body to him, hiding what he could identify in the distant future.

The old woman cast a light spell, recealing her true self a young woman with long white hair and golden eyes, tang skin color and white markings around her body.

“My name is Serina of the Province, I am the sorceress you all been seeking, I will help you with this war that has been happening for centuries, but that is a story that I will take another time. Let us go to the place where Victor, my nephew is been held” said Serina creating a white smoke that surrounds everyone inside the bar

The wind was strong that all of them had to shield their eyes, once the magic was over, all of them open their eyes to find themselves in downtown of New Glacier, most of them are confuse by the location of Victor’s captivity, then Serina swipe a bit of dirt from the middle podium of the Great King that used to slay dragons, then Edward notice some strange markings, Blaze follow his gaze and eventual everyone did, that is when they realize that they are standing in a sealing circle.

Tensei notice that the area had four podiums of the four great Dragons, meaning that they are in the right place. Aron walk around the area, he felt a dark aura coming beneath the ground, that made him sick, Serina search most of the area, she kneel down to check on the seal, then she gasp in surprise and then she glare at the mark, she raise up from the ground and call out to the youngsters.

“This is bad, a bit of his Dark magic came out of the seal” she turn toward Tensei

“I believe that you had fought the actual Demon King and the Queen of Fairies, but they had been posses, since they are almost the actual supernatural creatures that can almost match one of the great four” explain Serina

“We have to stop them, they are going to hurt Scarlet” said Aron inpatient

“Not so fast lover boy” said Serina halting him

“There is a way, Victor was born without magic, due to the fact that his father is my older brother, but his power was stolen and was giving to his son. Now, Victor posses that power and the only one that can take it away and return it is another creature of the night, that would mean that Scarlet alias the Black Dragon is the only one that can take his magic and return it to his rightful owner. However, the power that they posses are vice-versa, one that posses the power of the night, is also the consuming power of Darkness, that is why the Black Dragon exist to prevent the darkness consuming the creature of the night” finish explaining Serina.

“I see, if the Black Dragon didn’t exist or is consume by the darkness, there won’t be anyone else to protect them from the darkness unless the light purifier’s it” said Nicolas

“Correct! Your Girlfriend will be consume by the Dark power that Victor has and you are the only one that can save her from it, you are her light” said Serina

As they kept looking around, Serina is meditating, well more like sleeping, Tensei is making sure he is in full strength, as for the rest are making quick training with their masters, Edward sat beside Tensei and started to speak of Scarlet, he mention that she was a hard working woman and that she was keeping the secret all too well, but Tensei mention that she was going to reveal everything by the end of the year, she never would had predict that the enemy would be after the stones and in the end after her.

Serina woke up in a flash and gasp, warning the gang that they had arrived. All of them got into position for an ambush, but the enemy saw to it and started to attack, they even laughs of the old lady that they have on their side.

They fought two versus seven of them, three against Star and four against Dival, even if they were outnumber, Dival hated to lose, so he summon a dark abyss, where Scarlet was forcefully pull out, they stop fighting once Scarlet was in the middle of battle, Aaron stop in his track, he wanted to get near her, but Blaze stops him.

“Look closely Aron” said Blaze

Aron look at the restrains that Scarlet has, Blaze once again spoke to all of them

“If we get near they are going to strangle her more than she can bare, my guess is that she try to free herself and got choke” said Blaze

“Very observant Nine tail, yes Miss Walker is been restrain for her previous actions back in the hide out, she kill more guards than I can’t could, brave and smart plan if we weren’t there” said Star

Aron grunt in frustration, he can’t get near Scarlet and he can’t fight with her in the middle, Dival grabs Scarlet’s restrains and throws her at the statue of the Moon, where the restrains tie themselves around it.

Scarlet glare at the pair, Star phase near the gang and blow them away from their position. Then they created a barrier to prevent them to be interrupted.

Aron rush toward but was stop by the barrier, they notice that Serina was gone, they look around to find her, but she was gone, Aron return his gaze at the moon statue where Scarlet is tie up, struggling to break free.

Divas and Star started to place the stolen stones in their current statues, then they turn toward Scarlet, she manage to build up her defense and once Start was about to touch her, she was shock by her.

“You little b***h, you build you defenses, smart little girl” said Star angry at Scarlet

Scarlet smirk at her

“I can do more than just shock you little fairy, why don’t you untie me and settle this one on one” said Scarlet challenging her

Dival sigh

“Don’t listen to her Star, she is just tempting you” said Dival

Walking toward her, he touch her abdomen, Scarlet use her defensive shock again, but he wasn’t affected, then she intensified the voltage of her body to hurt him.

Dival grunt in the pain and burn that his hand is suffering, he push harder until he pierce Scarlet’s abdomen.

Scarlet grunt in pain that she is getting what he wants. Dival pull out a Red stone, Aron sees this behind the barrier when Scarlet falls limp on the statue, he started to hit the barrier with all the force he manage to get in the past months, part of the barrier started to break, Dival and Star sees this as a threat, due to the fact that they hurt the mate of the Golden Dragon.

They hurry to their positions, as Dival place the bloody stone on the moon statue, they begin to recital an accent release spell, after it felt like an hour, Aron manage to break the barrier as Scarlet regain consciousness, when Aron was about to hit Dival with his flaming punch, they finish their recital and the markings of the ground glow a dark red color, Aron bounce back and rush toward Scarlet.

“Scarlet! Are you alright?” ask Aron

“I am not find, just get me the hell out of this restrains, there should be a weak point somewhere!” said Scarlet struggling

Aron found a lose restrain and pull it, but it was too strong and it was tainting him, Scarlet sees this and kick him hard, he stares at Scarlet until she lower her gaze, he sees his hand and realize that whoever touch the restrains will be tainted in darkness. The glow stops and a man came out of the middle, his appearance is young, long Black hair with a lose pony tail, his eyes are a distinguish wine color, his get up is less modern, a cream pants, with a lose white shirt and black boots and a black cape. He looks around, when his eyes landed on Dival and Star that they were kneeling in font of him, welcoming him back to the world.

“What year is it?” ask Victor

“The year is 2020, your grace” said Dival

“The 21st century, not bad” said Victor with a grin on his face

Victor turn his head toward the couple Dragons, his eyes landed on Scarlet, her eyes are glaring at him, Aron stood in front of her protecting her from him, Victor made a small walk toward them, never leaving his gaze away from her, Aron prepare his fist full of blazing fire and punch the ground making flaming pillars toward Victor, witch he stops them with a single hand, then he smirks at the Golden Dragon.

“You must be Oro’s Successor, impressive power, but there not enough to finish me off, now the little women there is another different story” said Victor with a sadist expression

“Aron get down” whisper Scarlet

Aron duck when he hear her say it loud, then she manage spit lightning bolts from her mouth, making her look like more beast than human,

Aron became surprise to see her use her power now that they know who she is, Victor suffer an intense pain on his arm when he try to dodge her lightning, Scarlet again, Victor dodge her attacks until he reach toward her, he kick Aron away from her and place a palm on her face.

Before Victor could place his palm, Scarlet enter in her mind, she sees the darkness spreading on her crystal red room, she looks at Shadow that is trying to prevent it to touch him, she turns and look at him.

"If we don’t preformed the soul sealing, he will have complete control of me, Shadow will you bear with me until our light comes and save us?” ask Scarlet

Shadow made a small purr indicating that he will agree and protect his partner, Scarlet rub under his chin and turns around, Shadow behind her, she place her hands together in order to preformed her soul sealing.

She learns this seal thanks to Dark, he warn her that in case she is afraid to lose her light, she can use the seal to protect her human self. As the darkness consumes the room in her mind, shadow stood up like the pose of a protective Dragon and Scarlet created a purple crystal like orb that surround her, a bright light glows in her mind.

Scarlet’s body became limp, and fell to the floor, everyone waited in anticipation, Scarlet’s hand twitch, she slowly stood up and kneeled in front of Victor. In that moment they all decided to gang up on Victor, but he slowly commanded, in.

Blink of an eye, Scarlet moved on the speed of light, hitting, scratching and kicking everyone in her way, she eventually tackle Aron to the ground, holding his neck, chocking him. Aron try to get her grip off him, but she was too strong,

Scarlet’s hair blew away and her purple eyes and catlike eye pupil stare directly at him, but there were tears coming from them, she raise her hand, ready her nails to thrust his chest and kill him, but in the moment she strikes, her hand stops centimeters near him, that is when he heard her voice.

“Don’t...hurt... him” grunted Scarlet holding her attack back

Victor sees this, growling he order Scarlet to retry and the rest as well, She open an abyss where the four of them left, Aron stood up to get near them as much as he can.

That is when Serina stops him, she looks at Victor with a smirk on her old face, on the other hand Victor glare at the old lady, then they disappeared.

“Why you stop me?!” Ask Aron

“You were going to rush the fight, beside this is no place to fight a Queen Fairy, a Demon King, a Black Dagon and a Black Sorcerer, lives will be lost, beside you saw the speed that your girlfriend posses, she is faster when she is at full power, but that is mostly likely the only limit that Victor will control on her, since she seal nearly 80% of her power within her soul, basically Scarlet will not use her power on you three, but she is reserving her power for the actual battle, the one where she will fight on your side” said Serina

They all look at the empty place where Scarlet and the rest of the supernatural beings left, and that is when they know that the battle has just began.
