Chapter 20 : Wedding preparation

"Adellee let's go. Second beta is waiting in the car." Carrie said.

We already finished for our check-ups today. When we arrived this morning, everyone is grinning at us. I know what they are thinking. I ignore them, even Carrie, who's still bugging me of what happened, I ignore her.

I get inside the car which have Connor on the driver sit. A man name Luke in his side, while Carrie and I are sitting at the back.

"How long will it take to reach the town?" I asked.

"One hour. You can sleep if you want. It will be a long drive." Said by Connor.

"Are you excited for your wedding?" Carrie asked.

"I am, but at the the same time I'm nervous. Having a mate is new to me." I said.

"That's fine. Alpha Kayden loves you. We can all see that. I just wish to see your wolf." She said.

Hena perk his ears by hearing that someone want to see her.

"I also hope to see my wolf Carrie." I said.

"It will be a strong one." Connor said.

"How can you say that?" I asked.

"You are a strong woman even you don't have a wolf, what more if you have one?" Connor said.

"Well..... I wish she will show up soon. I want to know see her look."

'I am the most beautiful wolf in the world.' My wolf said in my mind. I chuckle that makes them look at me.

"What's funny Adellee?" Luke asked.

"Nothing, I just remembered something." I lied.

We talk and exchange jokes while inside the car. We arrived at town exactly lunch, so we all decided to eat first. Almost everyone is looking at our way. Some girls giggled when they saw Luke and Connor while the guys whistle in Carrie and I way.

Connor look at the guys and they all bow their heads. Well who is not? Connor is a big guy with big muscles. If I were them, I wouldn't mess with that guy.

After lunch, we headed to the mall. Luke and Connor decided to wait outside while I choose my dress.

An old woman with a very beautiful look assist me.

"Good afternoon Ma'am, I am Amy the manager of this store... how can I help you?" Emy the manager said.

"We're looking for a white dress." I said.

"For you or for your friend?"

"For me." I answered.

"Is it for party or wedding?" She asked.

"Wedding." I answered.

"You're lucky, I have two new white dress that arrived this morning. By the look of it, it will surely fits you. Wait here and I will get it." She said before leaving me.

I look around and found a beautiful red dress hanging on the racker. I fall in love with the simplicity of the dress. I know it fits me so ai give it to Carrie.

Amy come with two beautiful white dress in her hands. One is floor length white gown, it is simple yet so elegant. It is v-cut type of gown with no accessories at all. So plain yet so beautiful. The other one is the total opposite of the first one. It is strapless and super backless dress with beads around the breast part. Both are gorgeous but I choose the first one. I will look as if goddess on it.

I try them both but Carrie also agree with the first one.

"You look beautiful in that dress. Surely everyone who wanted to be the Luna will envy you." She said.

"Well I hope they accept me. I'm a very dominant person, I don't want being judge by others." I said.

We pay the dress and headed in the car with Connor and Luke. Because of being tired, I fell asleep in the car until I feel something's wrong.

"Connor, Luke? Can you hear that?" I asked.

"Hear what?" Luke asked.

"I can hear that there's something following us." I said.

"Maybe it's just your imagination Adellee, you're maybe dreaming." Connor said.

I look outside the car. I still have this feeling that there's someone or something that following us.

"Hena? Do you feel it?" I asked my wolf.

"Yes! There's something out there, I just don't know what it is." She answered.

"Connor stop the car." I said.

"What?! Why would I do that?" He asked.

Carrie and Luke is staring at me.

"Just stop the car." I said.

As soon as the car stop, I went outside and scan the area. There's a movement from behind us but I can't scent it at all. This is something creepy. "Adellee go back to the car. Alpha is waiting for us." Connor said.

I can see a movement in the tree. "There! There is something there." I said while pointing to the direction where I saw something.

"It's maybe an animal. Let's go. We don't want to be late at dinner." Connor said pushing me back inside the car.

"Adellee, you should not go outside the car. If there is really something out there, we must protect you." Luke said. "And I will not take orders again regarding stoping this car." Connor said.

I stare at them both.

"Adellee, just listen to them. The reason why the Alpha ordered Luke and Connor to be here with us is for your safety." Carrie said.

"Okay. But I'm really sure that there is something out there that is following us. I can sense it." I said.

"I must hurry. I don't want anything happened under my protection. Alpha Kayden will surely kill me if he saw even a small scratch in your skin." Connor said that makes me smile. How I wonder what will happen if that really happened.

We arrived at the pack house late due to the incident. Kayden is waiting at the door looking very worried.

"Why are you late?" Kayden asked.

"Sorry Alpha it will not happened again." Connor said looking at me.

"Hey big guy, don't get mad at me. I swear something is out there." I said.

"Wait, what?" Kayden asked looking into my direction.

Ooooops. My tongue will surely bring me in trouble.

"It's nothing. I just got this feeling that we are followed that's why I ordered Connor to stop the car and I get out looking where I saw some movement." I explained.

"That's dangerous Adellee!" Kayden shouted.

"That's what I said Alpha." Connor said.

I just rolled my eyes to the both of them and leave them.

"She can feel me Alpha, even I mask my scent and move from tree to tree." I called my boss. He is very angry because I failed in my mission.

He wants me to deliver that girl to her as soon as possible. He thinks that she is the girl we've been looking for.

"I don't care how will you do it but I need that girl. She's the key for our plans." My alpha said.

"Yes Alpha. I will deliver her to you as soon as possible." I said before he end the call.

This is insane. I can feel that she's strong and powerful. She can even feel me even without scent. I need to plan this very well before my Alpha decided to end my mission and my life.000000☐☐☐☐☐
