But before she could take a step, Remington reached out and wrapped his arms around her waist. 

His deep voice came from behind, “You’re finally not keeping secrets from me? Lizetta, even if I were dead, don’t you ever dream of letting another man be called daddy by my child!” 

His handsome face rested against Lizetta’s lower back, his arms tightening. 

Lizetta froze, then slowly grasped the meaning of his words. 

She turned around in surprise, “You knew? When did you find out?” 

Remington let go and pulled her to sit back down by the bed, his lips curving in a mocking smile, his eyes. dark and deep. 

“What do you think? Lizetta, you sure went to great lengths to keep this from me, didn’t you?”

to tell him.

Knowing everything already, yet he still toyed with her, played her, watching her struggle in fear. 

He was such a jerk! 

Lizetta was livid, her eyes reddening as she glared at Remington. 

“Why do you think I kept it from you, huh? Is it not clear to you? Which pregnant woman wouldn’t want to share the news with her husband immediately? Was it that I didn’t want to tell you?” 

As Lizetta vented, anger and hurt filled her chest, and she couldn’t help but burst into tears again. 

She thought of how other women’s pregnancies were a shared joy with their husbands, how they were cared for like treasures, eagerly anticipating the baby’s arrival together.
