Chapter 96 Nancy, Are You Really Unwilling?

Before her words could fully register, Nicholas kissed her lips directly.

This time, he was slow and gentle.

He was almost unrecognizable compared to the impatient, angry, and domineering man from

the last time.

Nancy blinked, and, for a moment, she was so enveloped by his tenderness that she almost forgot to push him away.

When she realized what was happening, she immediately reached out to push him away.

However, as soon as she extended her hand, Nicholas had already captured her wrist, His movements were equally gentle, like a well-mannered gentleman, leaving no room for fault. And so, she was ultimately defeated after a few rounds of this back and forth.

Ultimately, all she could do was clench her teeth and hold her ground, not allowing him to breach her defenses.

Of course, Nicholas understood as well. He smiled, and in the darkness of the night, his peach eyes were exceptionally alluring.

He wasn't angry, nor did he lose his temper. He continued kissing Nancy patiently and gently as if waiting for her to surrender her accord.

Suddenly, Nicholas lowered his head, leaning close to Nancy's ear, and gently exhaled a breath, laughing seductively. "Nancy, are you so impatient that you've even undone my clothes?" His voice and his breath were already lethal.

Upon hearing that, Nancy couldn't help but shiver, and she was on the verge of losing control of

herself.

Hearing that she had undone his clothes, Nancy immediately lowered her head.

With that look, she only realized that Nicholas' bathrobe had been undone at some point.

With the bathrobe belt undone, the robe hung loose. His well-defined, muscular, and sexy physique, particularly the abdominal muscles, immediately caught her eye, causing Nancy to

blush

The enticing tan complexion, along with his eight-pack abs and the sexy V-shaped line, was alluring.

Nancy's face had turned as red as a cooked shrimp.

Although they hadn't been together often, this man always knew how to stir her emotions and make her blush and affectionate.

After steadying herself, Nancy immediately explained, "Don't make baseless accusations."

"Your bathrobe got loosened accidentally during our struggle just now. It wasn't me who did it."

"Then who was struggling?" Nicholas' gaze, deep and mysterious, fixed on her.

"It was me who struggled, but it was because of you..."

While Nancy was speaking, Nicholas seized the opportunity and once again sealed her lips with a

kiss.

This time, he got his way.

Nancy felt so regretful that she almost wanted to bite herself to death.

Nicholas was unusually gentle tonight. He guided Nancy step by step and considered her feelings

at every turn.

Nancy admitted that she had succumbed.

She had fallen under the spell of his kisses, under the spell of his deadly tenderness.

Even though she had been angry with him these past few days, she had been sulking and not sleeping with him in protest. No matter how many reasons she had, it couldn't change one fact.

The fact was that she still loved him.

She loved him deeply.

It had been ten years, a love that spanned a whole decade, traversing her youthful years of love. How could it be so easy to say forget and forget, to say don't love and not love anymore?

She often wondered if there was a potion of forgetfulness in the world. Would drinking a cup of it make her forget him, forget the unrequited love of the past ten years? However, her heart was soft.

At a crucial moment, Nancy's mind was still clear.

When his hands continued to move upwards, Nancy shivered and immediately pushed Nicholas

away.

She tilted her head, her pair of black eyes clear and bright, and asked, "Have you thought it

through? Do you want me now, or do you want my body?"

The former was related to love.

The latter had nothing to do with love and maybe just a momentary impulse or desire.

"Do we have to separate them so distinctly?" Nicholas replied.

Nancy nodded. "This is very important to me. I must make a clear distinction."

"But for me, they're the same."

Nancy's eyes gradually dimmed.

Maybe it was because she never held much hope from the beginning, so when she heard it, it didn't feel as painful as it might have.

"Thank you for your honest answer."

When Nicholas' hands moved upwards, Nancy didn't refuse.

She kept her eyes open, gazing at the ceiling with a distant look.

Despite the heated atmosphere in the room, she couldn't feel any warmth.

It was because her heart was cold and icy.

Her eyes were so cold and devoid of warmth that when Nicholas looked into them, he almost thought he had made a mistake.

At times like this, she used to be extremely shy, closing her eyes bashfully and hanging on his body, feeling soft and powerless, letting him do as he pleased. But now, her eyes were too cold.

Just this one look and Nicholas felt like he had been doused with a bucket of cold water from head to toe.

Ice-cold water that instantly sobered him up.

When he raised his head again, there was no longer any passion or desire in his eyes.

His heart was equally cold.

"You don't want to?" He looked at Nancy, and said with his heavy voice.

"Yeah, I'm unwilling."

This time, Nancy's response was direct and persistent.

Nicholas' eyes grew even colder, and he seemed as sharp as a blade made of ice.

Looking down at Nancy, he still had his arms propped on the bed. In this silent moment, the only sounds were the wind and rain outside the window.

After a long while, he smirked and spoke disdainfully, "Alright, I'm not the kind of man who would force someone. Since it's not willingly given, it's meaningless for me to take it." "That's nice. You got what you wanted!"

With that, he got up and walked to the door.

Shortly after, Nancy heard the door slam shut.

He left without a word, carrying his anger with him.

After he left, the room became even quieter.

Nancy hugged the blanket tightly, closing her eyes and telling herself not to overthink while forcing herself to sleep quickly.

As he walked out of the room and down the stairs, Nicholas suddenly realized a problem.

He was only wearing a bathrobe and barefoot, not even wearing shoes.

In the past, no matter how angry he was, he had never lost control like this. He realized that he had acted impulsively because of Nancy and stormed out of the room without thinking.

In the living room on the first floor, Nicholas lit à cigarette.

Although he was smoking, he wasn't really focused on it. He continued to smoke until the ember burned his fingers, and he felt the pain. He only realized he had taken just one drag from the lit cigarette.

He quickly flicked away the ash, took a deep drag from the cigarette, and pulled it out of his mouth to extinguish it.

He was so agitated that he didn't even have the mood to smoke.

Outside the window, thunder rumbled, and lightning flashed, and the heavy rain had hardly stopped. It kept pouring.

Thinking about how she had always been afraid of lightning and heavy rain, Nicholas' heart softened again. Suddenly, he felt a bit regretful and annoyed with himself for leaving like that.

With such heavy rain, the large and empty room, and the darkness, he couldn't help but wonder of the was scared or if she had been crying
