I stormed through the corridors. I was so mad. How can he treat me like that when I saved his life. My sister could have punched him dead but instead I pulled her off and tended to him, why? Because I knew if I didn’t I’d get in the stick for it. I’d get in the stick for it any way. I had to see someone but I didn’t know what room she stayed in... I sighed. How was I going to sort out Temperance.

There was only one person who could actually teach Temperance a lesson, papa and Lilith. Me and Tempy might be close but she never really listened to me. I stopped. I took a deep breath through my mouth. I tasted the air. I could taste about 300 different people. The strongest was Zev’s, it wasn’t recent but it was strong, I took a deep breathe ad I could smell everything, I search the distinct smell of my pack, though Lilith left it would still be on her. It took me a while but then, I got it.

I followed it with ease as I climbed a flight of stairs. It took one route and this was strange, maybe it was the most recent path she had taken. I finally came to a door. I opened it with out knocking or asking if it was okay.

I stood in the door way when I stopped with shock. I couldn’t move. Why? Because Zev was sat on a chair with his top off. Lilith was there on his knee wearing shorts and a tank top with a cloth in her hand. Zev looked sexy, Lilith looked like a slut. I couldn’t figure out why he was here but I frowned and looked at Lilith forgetting Zev, he didn’t deserve my kindness

“Can I talk to you?” I said to Lilith. She frowned at me. “It’s about Tempy.” I told her. She rolled her eyes and looked at Zev. He nodded. Lilith got up and walked up to me, she pushed me out and closed the door.

“Tempy has gone over the line Kat. She attacked Zev,” she whispered.

“Because he refused to let her see me, Tempy gets protective over me and very violent if she doesn’t get her way, she was provoked but she barely listened to me. She can’t talk to papa, she needs to talk to you, you need to tell her what she did, and how bad it was. She will listen, I can’t because I don’t belong here, you do. I need you to do this, if not for me then do it for Zev,” I pleaded. She studied me. Her gaze didn’t leave me and I held hers. I wanted her to know I was telling the truth.

“Fine,” she said, “I’ll talk to her, but I am not promising anything.” I nodded.

“Thank you, I’ll take care of Zev, I swear,” I told her. Her gaze went hard.

“You better, other wise it won’t be him getting you in the gutter.” I nodded. She studied me again but left. I stood for a minute or two and walk back into the room.

Zev looked up at me but I showed no emotion. I just walked over and kneeled next to him. I took the bowl that Lilith had been holding. I took the cloth and made it damp.

“Look at me” I ordered. Zev did, not resisting. The cut on his forehead was still oozing dark red blood. I grimaced and started to dab the cut gently.

“Thank you” I heard. I stopped and looked a Zev. I blinked at him and he smiled at me. That was the first time I had seen him smile. Could I actually change him? I doubt it. Why his mother wanted me to help I don’t know. I said nothing and carried on.

When everything was looking much better I stood up and walked away. I didn’t say a word but I wanted to. I don’t know why but I wanted to talk to him.

1 Week Later

I sat up in my bed after a long nap and looked around there wasn’t much to see. I hadn’t made it so I wasn’t to stay. I had been here a week and I was hoping in the next few days my training would end, I needed to get out of this fort.

It was like a freaking prison. I hadn’t had a good run for a week, in the week Lilith hadn’t returned and in that time Zev and I had sparred many a time, and were still not close to have a full blown heart felt conversation with each other.

I wanted a shower but decided against it. I might be a cat demon and I know cats hate water but the human part of cried for one. It was strange that my cat instincts took over when I was human. I hope it wouldn’t bring any harm to life.

You wouldn’t believe the week that I have had. It started that day after Lilith left.

*Flashback*

I was flat on my back breathing hard. Zev stood over me smirking.

“Get up” He said. I glared at him of course.

“Let me rest!” I snapped at him. His glare went darker but I ignored it. We had been sparring for about an hour straight and it is my first spar lesson. I was surprised that Zev was up to it. Temperance had given him quite a beating and his cuts had yet to heal. I smiled to myself, he now had four scratches across his face as well.

I take the blame for the scratches of course. I gave them to him to get him off me. He was pinning me to the floor and I don’t like small spaces. If I didn’t know better, and if they were deep enough, he would have scars. I loved hurting him. It helped my anger and stress of this place.

“Those scratches are a bugger, you know that?” He said to me.

“Yes, of course, that is why I gave them to you. It might ruin your pretty boy face,” I told him. He went silent, his breathing hollow. He knelt besides me and looked at me.

“Say that again.”

“It. Might. Ruin. Your. Pretty. Boy. Face.” I said with emphasis on each word. The next thing I knew, I was flying across the room. My back hit the wall with some velocity. I cried out and when I landed on my bum on the floor. I looked at Zev and I smiled. That might have hurt but I could still stand. So I did.

“Is that all you’ve got?” And I dashed for the door, shimmering to my cat form as I went through it. I knew he would think me cowardly...but I believe it to be a challenge. He would have to find me before he would hurt me again.

*End Flashback*

You see what I mean. He was horrible to me. All I did was comment. I know I shouldn’t have but he was threatening another trial and challenging him would have been bad. I know I indirectly challenged him that day but since then he has changed. He is nastier to me, colder. I don’t know what I did but I know I did something and if he was going to take me to the queen I’d explain what happened and she would let me off. Hopefully.

It wasn’t much better two days ago. He was teaching me the history and boy was he nasty about that.

*FlashBack*

It was hot in here and I was sweating. I was sticking to the chair and Zev refused to open a window or even let me cool down. I looked at him as he rambled on, everything he was saying didn’t really register. I guess I would get in the shit for that later.

“Katsi?” or now, I thought to my self. I looked at Zev properly and smiled.

“Yes?” I said.

“When was the guard brought in to control the growing numbers of demons?” he asked me. I blinked and blinked again. I opened my mouth to say a random number from early in time but nothing came out. He raised an eye brow at me.

“Uh... 1100?” I said trying to save my self.

“No! The guard was brought in soon after wolves became royalty, when was that?” he asked me. I rolled my eyes. I was not in the mood for this I thought.

“A long time ago,” I told him. He growled baring his teeth at me. He walked up to me what seem calmly but I knew he wasn’t.

“Get your facts right! You are a shame to your own race, kind! To all demons! You are a disgrace! And I bet your whole family are disappointed in you.” he shouted at me. He walked out of the room and left me there. I had never been been called a disgrace, and my family weren’t disappointed in me, were they?

*End FlashBack*

How mean was that? I mean did he have say I was a disgrace, I was depressed all day after that... and I still am. That was not how you treated someone.
