Two swords each. Equal chance. That is what I thought. She was beating me. Was she using her witch powers? She couldn’t be but I didn’t know. I felt like I couldn’t trust her word on how much she new of Danni and her powers. We had stopped and I was catching my breath and I took this chance to look at her. Her strength, her knowledge and her speed has increased over the last week since her attack but I knew she wasn’t fully recovered. The added stresses of the last few days had maybe made her healing worse.

Her back was to me so I couldn’t see the rip on her font. Her shorts tight, her legs toned. There was nothing on her feet as she had taken of her shoes just before the fight. She told me she would have better grip and better balance. This I could believe. Her tank top shaped her body well, showing off her hips and the way her spine was bent in the right way. The swords were in her hands and they pointed in my direction. Her body was slightly turned towards me. At this point something swelled in my chest. I smiled to myself. Just thinking about her made me smile and I knew I wanted to spend a lot of time with her and I knew I was more protective of her than any other members. She looked at me with a questioning look.

“Tired?” She asked me. I smirked at her. She smirked back. I blinked once and stopped. Completely dead. My breathing had halted. I was in shock. I couldn’t think. I couldn’t do anything. She sparkled. She was sparkling. There was no doubt this time. There was nothing making her sparkle but the fact that I loved her. I couldn’t deny it now. ‘When you’re in love, they sparkle.’ it is what they have told me since I was a child. I loved her, and I had to accept it. Whether this had to do with Danni coming back into my life, I didn’t know and I didn’t want to. I was too scared to even understand what was going on.

When I finally started breathing I felt like a dagger had hit me in the heart. I dropped my own swords. I loved her. I couldn’t deny it. I couldn’t even stop repeating it to myself. My blood proved that I loved her. She sparkles, they only sparkle for royalty. That is what my mother told me. But I couldn’t love her. She didn’t even want to spend time with me. She hated spending time with me. She thought I didn’t trust her and believe her. I spent time with her to make sure she was going in the right direction. I spent time with her because I knew if I didn’t, I would become insane. She had finally caught me in her trap and she didn’t even know it.

“Your test is done for today. You need to rest, you aren’t as healed as I thought. We will continue after Danni has been sorted.” I told her. She span to look at me properly. He face was contorted with worry. She didn’t understand what was going on. She thought that I hated her so why should I care if she was fully healed or not. How did Danni actually fit in to all this, I could see in her eyes that she was thinking those words.

“We just started.” She said whispered. I smiled my natural smile and she paused in her actions.

“I know, but something has come up.” I turned and ran from there. The first time I had run from her, from any one. I couldn’t help it. I loved her and it scared me. I didn’t know who to go to. Who would I speak with? Who should I speak with?

I rounded a corner and ran into someone. I didn’t lose my balance but they did. I took hold of their shoulders to hold them up.

“Zev?” I blinked and looked at the person. Lilith. “What is wrong? You look terrible?” I was breathing fast and unstably.

“I love her Lilith, oh God...Why her?” I started loosing myself. I was scared. Lilith took my face in her hands and held my face still. I looked at her, she smiled.

“Calm down, take a deep breath.” I nodded. I took a few deep breaths and when I had slowed my breathing Lilith smiled. “Now, tell me, what is going on?” I looked her in the eye.

“I love Katsi, she sparkled, I love her, she is the one.” Shock flickered in her eyes but she just smiled.

“Come with me,” she said softly. I nodded feeling vulnerable. I followed her to her room and when inside she locked the door. I went over to the bed and collapsed. “Now tell me what is going on.” She told me. She seemed concerned for once. Maybe because her sister was involved and maybe she actually cared in stead of being a cold hearted cow. I didn’t sit up though. I felt like I didn’t have the strength.

“I was testing her. It was her final test for her to join the guard. We only did one short battle, with two swords each. We stopped for a bit to catch our breath but then she looked at me and smirked. I blinked and she sparkled. When a member of royalty falls in love the one they love sparkles, and she sparkled so brightly. I dropped the swords and ran. I was scared and I swore I would never fall for her or anyone, ever.” Lilith sat next to me. I leant on my elbows and looked at her. “I never run, and now, I run from her, the girl who captured me with her wit, her attitude, her past, I couldn’t leave her for the last three weeks and now, I don’t want to see her, I’ll mess up.” There was a spark in her eyes. Amusement?

“Wow, the prince is scared of being in love.” she taunted me. I Frowned at her. “Oh, come on Zev, this is funny! First you get distraught over Danni and now my little sister. This is an interesting day back” She beamed at me but I just deepened my frown.

“You are meant to be helping me” I told her. She nodded.

“Yes, involuntary but I am” she said. I collapsed back on my back.

“I have a mind to kick you out right now” I muttered to her. She tried to stop the small giggle that escaped her lips.

“You are going to have to tell her” Lilith said.

“I can’t tell her” I said almost to quickly. “Not now” Lilith took my hand and pulled me to sit up.

“If you are going to sort this out, you have to work together. If you want to find a full case against Danni then getting Katsi on your side will be the best thing. You need to trust each other and you need to trust her that she had nothing to do with it to her knowledge. If she remembers anything than she can use manipulation against him. First thing though, you need to tell her how you feel” I sighed. Maybe she was right. Maybe I did need to tell her, or could I wait until after Danni. Maybe I could work up a plan so it would be romantic for her. Though I knew this was new to me. Maybe I didn’t have to do anything, Maybe she saw me sparkle.

“I still don’t know Lilith” I said quietly.

“She sparkled right?” I nodded “Did you? I mean did she act like you sparkled?” I thought back and I shook my head. Lilith sagged slightly before picking her self up. “Well, that doesn’t mean anything right? Does it have to happen at the same time, can’t it be she fell for you first?” She questioned me. I thought about it and it never crossed my mind before but maybe she was right.

“So what you are saying is that she might all ready know how she feels.” She nodded in concurrence with me.
