„Lucian?” I asked him as he came out of the bathroom.

„Yes love.” He answered.

„Do I have to go back to school?” I pout at him like a three-year-old.

„To that one, not really. But you do need to start training. Why?” he looks at me with a kind smile.

„I am not that fond of it. And now Blanca isn’t there with me. And I kind of get intimidated …” I start complaining but soon stop as I notice his eyes getting darker, I guess it was because I said intimidated.

„Explain intimidated to me. Like really; and I mean really detailed.” Lucian wants to know more about my anxiety when I am in a crowded place. I like some people, but I get really tired after classes.

„Babe, it is just because I tend to speak my mind that some of my class-mates don’t agree, so they like to taunt me with every occasion. That is all, no need to go al beasty on me!” I explained to him hoping that will calm him.

„Beasty?” he has a smirk playing on his lips but it vanished soon, I guess he wanted to tease me.

„Uhm … babe … what are you doing?” he was hunched, eyes like a predator stalking his next kill. He is intimidating when he does that, more so because he does that when he wants to tickle-attack me.

True to my words he does that. He jumps on me, as I was sitting on the bed. Starts kissing me, my neck and tickling me while I squirm under him.

„P-p-p-lea-s-e s-s-s-stop” I manage to say between my fits of laugh.

„Do you surrender to me?” he asks, looking at me and stops tickling me.

„I am yours, only yours!” I spoke.

He lifted himself of me and I raised myself on my elbows. He was straddling me.

„What if you get another mate?” his voice was hoarse, like he was keeping a thousand emotions inside. But also like he know something I didn’t know.

„Babe, look at me. What do you mean another mate? Like a second-chance mate? I don’t understand.” His eyes were down. He raises his eyes and looks at me. I can see that he was misty-eyed.

„I do NOT want another; I do NOT want a second mate.” I can’t stress that word enough, because I really do not want a stranger, what if it happens just like with Matteo all over again? He got up and went to sit on the bed next to me.

„As far as I know, your powers cannot be contained by only one mate. Since Matteo was proven a fake. I am thinking that she will have another selected, now that your powers are coming.” He said with sadness in his voice.

„Well, as far as I know, you have proven more than enough to help me with my powers. And I will start training soon. Besides you are more powerful than any.” I answer honestly. But I do feel like there is more to it.

I am starting to get angry because of this. I am not willing to let my heart get broken again. Lucian has put the pieces of my broken heart together with love and trust.

Since this last conversation not much has been said between Lucian and I. But you can feel the tension between us. Ready to explode at any time.

It would be very easy to just use a portal and be home. But we keep appearances for humans. There is a return ticket for me. Blanca cancelled hers, you know why, with her being Luna and pregnant she now has other things to do. And I understand her.

Oh well, no rest for the wicked. As I like to say.

The flight was uneventful. And don’t get me started on plane food, I mean yuck. I don’t know about you, but even the smell is bothering me. I felt I was going to get sick from the smell. Lucky for me the flight attendants took it back and everything was better. I got to sleep a little until the plane started to land and they announced to fasten out seatbelts. That is when I started to get really sick to my stomach. Sick as in I wanted to barf.

I barely managed to make it in time to the bathroom and barf, when did I get to eat that much food? I am not going to eat sandwich any time soon, thanks plane.

After getting my bags and heading to the exit I am looking for my mate. But I can’t seem to find Lucian. Did he forget?

I admit that me barfing and my panic did not help me see him.

He was waiting for me, true to his words.

„Rose, over here babe.” He yelled to get my attention. He noticed I was looking for him but could not see him.

He came in my direction. And that is when I saw him dressed to impress. He was wearing a suit-pants and a white shirt that fit like a glove with the sleeved rolled to his elbows. Many women were gawking at him and I felt jealous and a little embarrassed because I felt underdressed.

„You should have told me to dress more elegant.” I told him, giving him my best upset eyes.

„Are you ok? You look like you were sick on the flight.” He asked like he knew me to perfection.

„Actually, I did. After the plane landed, I got sick and barfed in the bathroom. That is why I got out a little late. I hope I am not going to be out with a cold in bed.” I am starting to get worried, what if I got sick …

„Maybe it is motion sickness.” Lucian said.

„Motion what? I know you are smarted but talk so I can understand.” I am getting more and more angry and I don’t know where this is coming from. I am rarely if not ever like this.

„I think that it is best if we go and see a doctor about this. You are not yourself.” Lucian said and it made me think about it.

„Ok.” I say with a shaky voice and Lucian hugs me tight and I inhale his scent and calm myself.
