Chapter 26 - Are you for real?

We went to a nice restaurant and had a great time. I have no memory of the place, because as soon as we arrived, we were taken to a private area.

Just him and me.

„Thank you.” I say to him but he seems distant like he has a lot on his mind.

„Hey, look at me.” I managed to make him look at me. After plenty of failed attempts where I poked his arm. I know it’s annoying, I had no other idea. To no real result but him shrugging and looking at the menu like it was the most interesting thing in the world.

„Hmmm mmm…” in the end Lucian hummed that he was paying attention to me.

„I know you have a lot on your mind.” I tell him

„But how do you kn…” I just had to interrupt him with a kiss. His lips were begging me to taste them or else.

He kissed me back. And soon we were making out like teenagers until the waiter cleared his throat. How rude. We were heaving our moment. But the waiter seemed like he saw something usual. I mean, to be fair, it is a private area. A small room, but big enough to have at least a dozen people. But now it only has us two.

The waiter asked us to give our orders.

Lucian went with the steak; he loves his steak. And I was thinking of going with grilled meat and vegetables, but I changed my mind at the last second and went with the salad entree for us and steak, for dessert I chose a surprise.

Lucian had to ask about the wines. At that time, I zooned out because I am not into them. I get drunk very fast and never could enjoy it like others. I simply do not see the fun in drinking alcohol.

„Babe, hey, look at me. I know you have a lot on your mind. And maybe some are about us. But let’s enjoy this and talk about them in the morning.” I reason with him.

„I do, I adore you so much.” Lucian tells me and kisses me.

He looks at me like I am his breath. Like there is nothing else that can matter more than me. He places another sweet kiss on my lips, my cheek, my neck …

„Whooo there cowboy, keep it for after dinner.” I smile at him.

„Wait till after I feed you and we get to our room my Queen.” He smirks at me like he does when a naughty thought comes in his dirty, dirty mind.

He made me smile with his antics. We joked and had a great time. Who knew the big bad demon king can be a big bad teddy-bear for his mate?

When we got home, he started kissing me like there is no tomorrow. We were only seconds in our room. Breathing in my scent. Kissing my neck and my sweet spots. I was breathless, and wanted to get him undressed.

„Allow me darlin…” he breathed on my neck.

And he started kissing me with hunger, tasting my mouth. Until he was left only in boxers, he parted from kissing, leaving me to want more.

„More. I want more.” I moan out loud while I smile at him with closed eye.

„Darlin, I am yours. I want to taste you and make you scream my name!” he has a devilish grin on his face. And he likes what he is doing to me. Making me want more and ask for more of him.

Undressing me slowly, kissing every part on skin that he undresses. Leaving me in my underwear.

„Darlin…” he is looking in my eyes, looking for something.

„MMMMM, please don’t stop.” I am moaning, which made him chuckle.

„Do you trust me?” what a strange question to ask.

„Why? First of all, that hurts. Second of all I hope you are not going all 50 shades of grey on me now. Are you?” I ask him a little too serious.

„Only if you want me to. But no. I wanted to beast out.” Lucian tells me.

At this point my eyes were wide.

„No darlin, I am not going to do anything that will hurt you. You know that?” his eyes held a pleading to them. Like he wanted to know or more like he needed me to accept him as a whole. Beast and man together.

„I trust you!” was all I managed to make out.

He was amazing, tender, and went slow. He made me scream his name so many times that night. I was exhausted. And he was also. But there was a feeling of completion from him. He was relieved to know that I accept him with every little thing he has to offer me.

We are good together and we complete each other, the reason Moon-Goddess paired us. But there are so many things left between us.

In this short time span we became so important for the other. But he has a whole kingdom to look after, and I plan on making him assume responsibility. And I have one more year of university, so I can have my degree.

Like he sensed my thoughts.

„I know you are thinking of me being king and your university. But I promise we will make it work!” he said, holding me from behind, spooning me.

„How did you know? Can you read my thought?” I just remembered that there are many things I am not sure about.

„If it bothers you, I can tell you how you can close the link or open it for me.” Lucian said, but there was a pang I felt in my chest from the bond.

„I kind of like it. Promise me to keep it open for me also?” I tell him playfully.

„I … uhm Rose …” he was getting upset, because he could not find his words.

„Just let it out. I am sure. I can say without a doubt that I will not get upset with you.” I tell him while he is holding me, not making eye contact.

„If I let it open you will feel everything.” Lucian said.

„Isn’t that the point? So, we can be close even if we are in different places?” I reason with him.

„You will feel if I get hurt. You will feel my pain like it was yours. I do not wish to …” Lucian sounds worried and with the bond I can feel him getting sad.

„STOP. Just stop. Why are you holding back?” tears were clouding my eyes, he was still spooning me, holding me tight. I tried to turn and face him several times but he did not want me to do it.

^One more second. Hold on. And I will let you turn. ^ Lucian was mind-linking me.

I turned and the first thing I notice are his eyes, clouded like mine.

I was thinking about myself. Never did I wonder how he felt of this.

„I am sorry. If it upsets you. You don’t have to open the bond for me.” I tell him but in my heart I feel hurt.

„Rose, look at me. It is more than that. I am afraid to lose you. Can you imagine how long I have waited for you? How hard it was for me to know that mutt was courting you, making you think that he was your mate? I just want to take care of you. I will have the bond open but if there are any problems, I am going to close it for your safety. Do you understand?!” he was breathless, like he ran a marathon.

I am lucky for having him. Humans have it hard. I never imagined to find a partner to cherish me like he does. To know for sure that he is made for me and I am made for him.

„I am yours. There are no words. I felt like saying I love you. But then it does not sound as important. It is more. Can you feel it?” his eyes were clouded with tears. I think he can feel it as I can feel what he is.

Tears that were unshed. He never cried. I am the reason. This amazing demon, the king of all supernatural. Shed tears for me. As one tear was rolling down his cheek, it looked strange. I picked it of the pillow.

It is a diamond. His tears turn to diamonds?

„It’s a diamond?” I tell him with amazement.

He smiled and kissed me.

„Te diligo, mel meum.” Lucian said in a language I don’t know.

„What does it mean?” I ask him.

„It means, my angel, that I love you.” Lucian translates it for me with a smile.

„I love you forever!” and with this I closed my eyes in a deep sleep, feeling him kissing my head and whispering softly to me.
