Maybe you get lost and that is why there is always that one person to bring you back to sanity, even if it is just for a little bit. Maybe there is a part of you that knows that the sadness you feel is not there with that one person. Maybe that is a sign, but you are so blind and do not want to see it.

Maybe. Just maybe, you find a person who has the same soul as you do. The same light and darkness in them as you. Maybe that is what you are missing. The part of you that completes everything. Maybe the girl you looked over was someone who could have changed your life for the better. She could have opened you up enough to bring everything horrible and depressing to happiness instead.

And maybe that boy you thought was a mess, was someone you were meant to have come into your life. Maybe he was meant to cause chaos in it. Maybe they were what you were missing, but you let them go for someone who use to mean the world to you.

Past relationships, love lost, heartache. No matter the reason, it seems that we as humans come across people who are willing to change our lives. We meet new people whether for the best or not, and we allow them to change our worlds. Sometimes these people we meet happen to be what some would call our soul mates. The souls that were created around the same time as ours, in the same area. The souls whose heart matches ours perfectly. In the light of darkness, we find our soul mates. We take a certain path, we walk a different way than normal, or we move somewhere new, but either way this thing called fate brought them to us. Fate brings you to people to teach you that life is going to be rough, but you cannot always go running back to the past. But maybe that is why you get lost, because the past is so far away from where you are and who you are with now. You can only look forward to the blindly laid out future that will bring you to something more than just misery.
