Nelly’s POV.

“Come with me,” Aisha said, tugging at my arm. “You need to see it by yourself.”

My heart was in my throat as I followed her, my mind spinning with a million thoughts. What could she possibly want to tell me? What was it about Kex? I swallowed hard, trying to push down the panic that was rising in my chest. We walked in silence, the tension between us thick and heavy. But as I turned back to face Aisha, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Astel was standing a few feet away, his hands clenched into fists and his eyes downcast. I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of satisfaction. He had hurt me, and now he was getting a taste of his own medicine.

“Can I steal my mate?” Kex asked, grinning.

“She’s all yours Alpha,” Aisha said bowing her head and we all laughed.
