"What do you think?" Denise sneered. "Did you think Godmom summoned me here just to watch? Well, let me tell you something; I've been preparing for this day for a long time."

Then, she scoffed and gestured for the guards to follow her to her room.

"Denise Hughes, I have one piece of advice for you; you'd better watch your step," Thomas said frostily, narrowing his eyes as the guards dragged him along.

The poison that had been spiked in the food was beginning to take effect, and he was starting to feel very uncomfortable.
