Chapter 6:

Ryan: “We’re getting out of here right now. (Ryan’s living room)”

Aria: “Thank God you guys are safe.”

Ryan: “Of course we're safe. I have to leave for a meeting.”

In Amara’s head: Everything happened so fast. Poor kid got really scared. They’re all thinking that man was after Ryan and Rico but he was after me. Did Ryan’s men manage to catch him or did he escape? Whatever it is, I have to find out.

Rico: “Rico is scared mama.”

Aria: “There’s no need to be scared, you’re safe. No one can harm you, I promise.”

Damon: “I heard what happened. Are you okay, little one?”

Amara: “Yeah I’m fine, Drako.”

Aria: “Of course you’d be fine. You were the one that wanted to take Rico out for some damn ice cream. It’s your fault he’s so traumatized right now.”

Amara: “He wasn’t after your son. He was there for me, he was following me.”

Aria: “What?”

Amara: “It’s the truth. Never raise your voice at me again, Aria.”

Damon: “It’s not her fault that you guys have so many fucking enemies. Even if that man wasn’t after her you can’t blame her for thinking about your kids happiness.”

Rico: “Don’t scold angel mama. It’s not angel’s fault. (Amara’s room)”

Damon: “Calm down. I know you’re mature enough to know why Aria is acting that way. She’s a mother and these people have so many enemies waiting to hurt them in every way possible.”

Amara: “I know Drako.”

Damon: “Who was he? Why was he following you? Was he someone from your past?”

Amara: “I don’t think I know him and his face was covered, I couldn’t see his face.”

Damon: “How do you know he was after you? Did you read his mind?”

Amara: “I did. He was everywhere we went so he was following us for sure but when I read his mind he called me by a name I’ve never heard before. He called me the last heiress of Arnoha. That’s what he called me.”

In Damon’s head: No, no, no, no. It can’t be. They can’t find her. Anger, confusion, fear washed over me all at once but I can’t show it to her. I can’t let my facial expression change otherwise she’ll know I know something about this.

Damon: “That’s weird. There’s no one named Arnoha, even in your past.”

Amara: “Yeah.”

In Damon’s head: Did they really manage to find Amara after all this time? I have to find out who was following her. If they really found her she’s not safe here. I can’t waste anymore time here not doing anything. I’ve gotta think about something.

Damon: “You’re gonna find him, aren’t you?”

Amara: “Of course I am. I have a feeling he has the answers to all my questions. He knows something I don’t and I know for a fact that he wasn’t there to cause me any harm if he was then he had a chance. Why didn’t he?”

Damon: “Just be careful and let me know when you find something on him.”

Amara: “Will do.”

Damon: “I’m gonna go call Nik. He doesn’t know we’re in Italy right now. I have to tell him about our new alliance. (Ryan’s warehouses)”

Ryan: “So you’re telling me you all couldn’t catch him? You let that fucker escape? Are you fucking with me right now?”

Luca: “He was gone before we got there and Bruno said no camera could capture his face. His face was fully covered and he vanished in the alley near the restaurant. There was no camera in the alley that could give us any lead about where he went. He came prepared and had no intention of trying anything. He just followed you guys everywhere you went and left after that. Do you think he was sent by The Legion?”

Ryan: “Hell no. We have a deal, they can’t step on my territory. They wouldn’t dare to break the deal, they know there would be a bloodbath if they do. (Ryan answers his phone). I’m in the middle of a meeting, Aria, why are you calling me? What? Okay, bye.”

Luca: “What happened?”

Ryan: “The fucker wasn’t following me, he was following Amara.”

Luca: “Isn’t that a good thing? He wasn’t following you, we have nothing to worry about.”

In Ryan’s head: Lucas is right, he wasn’t following us so we have nothing to worry about but why am I feeling more angry now that I know that he was following Amara? It’s none of my concern who’s following who but the fact that he was following Amara made me sick to my stomach. I can’t help but feel concerned and angry. What if she’s in danger? I can’t ignore it and do nothing. I have to talk to Damon. (Damon’s room knocking)

In Damon’s head: Who is that at this hour?

Ryan: “Someone looks really pissed off.”

Damon: “Stating the obvious I see. Mine telling me why you’re here this late?”

Ryan: “I came to ask how many enemies you have?”

Damon: “Other than you? None.”

Ryan: “Trust me Drakos, I’m not your enemy. At least not yet. If you don’t have any enemies then why is your little sister being followed?”

Damon: “You mean that man was following Amara?”

In Ryan’s head: You’re a bad liar Damon. I know you already know and you've even started searching for him. I heard you shouting on the phone at someone on the way here. But why are you lying? Suspicious enough for me to get to the bottom of this.

Ryan: “Yeah, he was there for her. Who is she, Damon? How come you suddenly found a sister out of nowhere? I heard you saved her life but why didn’t she go back to her precious life? Why did she stay with you and leave everything behind?”

Damon: “I missed the part where any of this is your concern. I agreed to do business with you but that doesn’t mean it gives you any right to ask questions about my personal life or about my sister. Amara isn’t part of this deal so you’re gonna leave her out of it.”

In Ryan’s head: I don’t think so.

Ryan: “If she’s in any danger and when you need my help then you know where my office is. You know I can help you. Have a good night, Drakos.”

In Damon’s head: That’s where you’re wrong. Not even you will be able to help her. If they’ve actually found her. (Ryan’s room)

In Ryan’s head: I have to talk to Aria, she told me to see her. (Aria’s room)

Aria: “Did you find something about the stalker?”

Ryan: “No, we don’t have the lead yet but we’ll find him soon, there’s no doubt about it. How did you find out he was after Amara and not us?”

Aria: “She told me herself. I kind of lashed out at her and said stupid things out of anger. Then she told us he was after her and not Rico.”

Ryan: “Since when did you start questioning my decisions Aria? It was my decision to take Rico out and not Amara’s. Why did you yell at her?”

Aria: “I’m sorry. I was just worried sick about Rico and seeing him traumatized again didn’t help the situation.”

Ryan: “I know what happened last year and because of that you’re always on edge but you have to trust me. I’m not gonna let anything happen to Rico.”

Aria: “I feel bad for yelling at her. I’ll make things right with her tomorrow morning.”

Ryan: “What do you think about her?”

Aria: “About Amara?”

Ryan: “Yeah.”

Aria: “Other than she’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen…”

In Ryan’s head: Indeed.

Aria: “There’s something different about her. She’s way too strong for being a human but she’s not one of us either. She’s mature, not so talkative and she got angry and shouted tonight. I felt a different kind of energy radiating from her. To be honest I got shuttered by that energy. If I haven’t known any better I would say I saw her eyes glowing for a slight second.”

In Ryan’s head: That’s interesting.

Ryan: “Get to know her. I mean everything about her.”

Aria: “And why would I do that?”

Ryan: “Maybe because I want you to.”

Aria: “But why do you wanna know everything about her?”

Ryan: “I’m just trying to make sure she’s no threat to us.”

Aria: “Threat my ass. I wasn’t born last night. I know you have a little crush on her or should I say it’s way more than just a crush.”

Ryan: “What the hell are you talking about? Since when did Ryan Diavolo start having a crush? What am I? A fucking teenager?”

Aria: “So you’re just trying to get in her pants then? Well in that case I’ll make sure to visit your grave every once in a while.”

Ryan: “I wasn’t thinking about that. It’s just there’s something in her that’s intriguing me.”

Aria: “Whatever helps you sleep at night, brother. Night. (the next morning Amara’s room). Amara, can we talk for a minute?”

Amara: “Of course, come in.”

Aria: “I’m sorry for yelling at you last night.”

In Amara’s head: Straight to the point…I like her.

Aria: “I’m overprotective over Rico and I know it but there’s a strong reason behind it. He’s a sensitive kid, he gets traumatized easily and as a mom it pains me to see him that way. I can’t help it, that’s why I react that way when something happens to him.”

Amara: “I totally understand. I didn’t mean to yell at you either. I know you don’t trust me but have faith in that dream boat. I mean, have faith in your brother.”

In Aria’s head: Dreamboat…

Aria: “You know, you have this kind of aura that can put people at ease. We cool?”

Amara: “Of course.”

Aria: “Wanna go have fun?”

Amara: “You read my mind girl. (in the living room)”

In Lucia’s head: Hm…new pretty face.

Aria: “Hey Lucia. Lucia meet Amara. Amara, this is my husband’s mother, Lucia.”

Lucia: “I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to see a new pretty face in the house.”

Aria: “What do you mean, suocera?”

Lucia: “That I’m bored seeing the same old faces all the time. How’s Rico?”

Aria: “He’s fine.”

Lucia: “I’m gonna go see him.”

Aria: “He’s playing in his room. (somewhere in a cave)”

Man: “I found her, kyrios.”

Hermes: “What does she look like?”

In Man’s head: Ravishing.

Man: “Raven haired. Blue siren eyes I’ve never seen before. Surrounded by miraculous energy. Though her abilities are suppressed right now, still I could feel it from afar.”

In Hermes’ head: Raven haired…blue siren eyes. Uncanny energy, that’s it. That’s her.

Hermes: “Finally. After all this time we found her. The last heiress of Arnoha. The one who’s born to make the prophecy come true. The prophecy that brought nothing but doom to that family in all their descendants...until now. She’s gonna change that. She has come to fulfill her destiny. Everyone must kneel…all heads will bow.”
