Chapter 49 - Payback

We were about to be extremely busy...

I looked around us, seeing a bunch of glowing eyes. Ha! They didn’t know how to keep their eyes from shining. “We have a bunch of these idiots in the trees. Squint your eyes and move slowly, although I’m sure you already know that. Time to take these guys out.”

Matheus nodded his head slowly. He signed that he was going to come up the tree behind me, watching my back from opportunist idiots. I slowly nodded my head back as he moved slowly and quietly. The other men were moving to get into position. Just as we were about to take the men a huge noise caught our attention.

I looked towards the compound and saw the flames were put out. I couldn’t see what was going on with the men. But, the men up in the trees with us were climbing down, getting ready to run to the compound. I pulled the radio out of my side pocket, listening to the monster ordering everyone back to the compound. Crap! We needed to take out as many as we could. I could tell our team was thinking the same thing.

I ran through the trees, using the animal highway. I wanted to get in front of some of the men so we could block them in. I saw Matheus and Eagle running through the trees across from me. I grabbed my blades, making sure the other ones I had grabbed from Matheus weapon cache were at the ready.

I looked as if I was a commando going into battle. I had green and brown face paint on my face. I was in camo pants, shirt and bullet proof vest. I had my shit kickers on and my jewelry off. I had already loaded my weapons. I was ready to kick some bastards ass.

I saw a perfect limb to jump up and land on the top of it, balancing my feet on the limb. I was breathing slowly, slowing my heartbeat down. I wasn’t winded, I was excited to take these men down. They made my life hell everyday, starting when I was four. I never did anything to them. I didn’t even cry, so I couldn’t understand why they treated me like dirt, kicking and punching me when the monster wasn’t around. It was their turn now.

As soon as the first runner came into view I jumped off the limb, hanging by one hand and slicing his throat, making a smiling face as I did. It was gross and macabre, but I didn’t care. He was the worst of all them. He tried to rape me when I was five years old. Sick bastard.

I flipped back over the limb, grabbing the tree and waiting for the next guy. I wanted the monster to feel the loss of his men. And, he would, especially when he notices his men dropping like flies. I was almost giddy at the thought, well, if I got giddy. I was usually calm and collected. Nothing bothered me except the monster and the second in command. Oh, wait, I killed his second. I snickered quietly at my thoughts.

I watched as Eagle flew out of the trees, taking down one of the men, stabbing him in the heart and scampering back of the trees. Eagle, for eyes and flying. Now I understood why his handle was Eagle. It was Matheus turn, but he was in the ground, feeling the vibrations. At least I thought he was. He exploded out of the ground, grabbing the man around the neck. The man fought him, but Matheus broke his neck, causing the man to hit the ground hard. He made sure the man was dead by stabbing him in the heart too.

I shook my head at my mate, moving slowly. He looked up and smiled, jumping up to a limb above him. I snickered at him through the coms unit. He was a nut. I loved that he could be goofy but so smart too.

“He’s so sexy. I want to meet him. Come on, Selina, let me meet him soon,” Rawr pleaded as I rolled my eyes. She was too forward and a perv. What would give her the idea I would let her loose anytime soon.

I quit talking to my perv of a jaguar and paid attention to Warrior. He was standing next to a tree almost completely blending in with his environment. I heard two men running full out. They slowed down and bent over trying to catch their breath. What the idiots didn’t know was they were standing right next to Warrior. I watched as Warrior reached out and tapped them on the shoulder. As they turned around and saw Warrior they started backing up, right into Madrid. Both men grabbed their man and broke their necks, cutting their throats. They blended back into the trees completely hid.

I was looking for Digger and Dragon when I heard a soft movement above me. I jumped up into the lower limb of the tree and started climbing quietly. I knew that the men above me were the monsters men. They were too noisy, scraping their shoes against the trees when they moved. I kept climbing until I was above them, listening to them talk about when the other men would be at the compound and they hoped they brought women if they couldn’t find me to satisfy their urges. I was sick of their bullshit.

I walked quietly until I got a few feet in front of them. They were looking around in the trees as if they were looking for me. Good luck with that assholes. As soon as they were under my me I dropped down on top of both of them, riding them to the ground, saving my skin and not theirs. They were trying to get up, and I couldn’t have them getting back up. I broke a bone in their backs, one that caused them not to be able to move. I stuffed a rag into their mouths and started my torture. I whispered to them about listening to their plans. I told them I had other plans for them as I castrated them, causing them to cry and scream as much as they could with a rag in their mouths. As soon as I was done with the torture I stabbed them in the heart, leaving them to rot or scare the other men.

“Was that necessary,” Dragon asked as he was holding his junk and grimacing.

“Uh, yeah. They were talking about raping me when they were below me. So, I had to let anyone who sees these guys what will happen if they think they can rape me,” I explained my voice harsh. I wasn’t upset with our guys but I was tired of hearing the monsters men talking about me as if I was a piece of meat they could throw to each other after they were finished taking a bite.

"Hey, that was a good analogy. Too bad I wasn’t out, I would have bit their junk off,” Rawr added, causing me to gag.

"Yeah, that will not ever happen if I can help it,” I told her in a firm tone of voice. Gross. My jaguar sniffed and decided to take a small nap. Too bad I couldn’t join her.

I decided I was going to wait for my next victims in the ground. I dug in and covered myself in dead foliage and dirt. I could still see out of the corner of my eye which was fine with me. Now, it was a waiting game. I could hear some of our men ask where I was at. I was hidden even from them, which is what I was going for.

I watched as Dragon took out three men walking together. He was funny as he did so. He pulled a me, asking the guys what was going on. They were telling him we needed to get back to the compound, thinking he was one of them. He stopped them and shook his head, telling them he wasn’t going there and neither were they. He took his blade, making sure the top of his hand hid his the blade. He swiped his blade quickly, cutting all three of their throats in one swipe.

I wanted to cheer but I was interrupted as a man ran out of the forest with his gun up...
