Chapter 1270

Ashlynn stood up as she guessed that it was Jeremy.

It was because the Hilton couple would be at work.

Jeremy had rather flexible working hours, which did not really “discipline’ him.

Ashlynn watched as Jeremy walked to her. Just when she wanted to say something, she was pushed over and fell right into a secure, warm hug.

She was stunned.

What is wrong with this person?

“Are you... okay?”

“No, let me hug you.”

"Are you sure that you don't like me?” Ashlynn asked.

Jeremy let go of her and winked. “I think so!”

“Huh?” Ashlynn could not comprehend.

What did he mean by “I think so?

Jeremy looked at Ashlynn, from her brows to her face, to her body, and not missing any single strand of her hair.

He felt so overwhelmed to find someone that he had long lost.

"Why are you acting weird?” Ashlynn asked.

Jeremy grinned. “What did you do this morning?”

“Nothing, I just strolled around. It was a little boring.”

“Boring? Let's go. I'll bring you out for lunch.” Jeremy put his hands in his pockets and walked out. He turned and looked at Ashlynn, who was still stunned in the same spot, and urged, “Come on!” Ashlynn followed him into the car.

Aunt Cher watched as Ashlynn did so, and the two soon left the premises together. She could not help but wonder.

Why did the two of them look so close to each other?

Ashlynn watched as the scenery rolled back from the car windows. This was her first

time going out after arriving at the place.

Corentin would never expect her days to actually not be difficult at all.

If he knew about it, he probably would try to think of something to torment her again.

She turned her gaze back and realized Jeremy was still watching her.

"Is there something on my face?” Ashlynn could not help but say.

"Ashlynn, do you hate my mother?” Jeremy asked.

Ashlynn did not expect him to ask this, so she did not reply to him immediately.

“Ashlynn, I am truly sorry for what they did to you. I hope you can move on from the past. My parents will never ever do something that will hurt you again, I can promise you.”

Ashlynn looked out the window blankly. “Your mother lost her daughter and treated Meredith like her own, this is understandable, but I will never forgive.”

Not only did this reply not make Jeremy any easier, but he felt even heavier hearing it.

If Ashlynn knew her actual identity, she would feel worse...

It was still a little early for lunch, so Jeremy brought Ashlynn to the mall to shop. He bought her a lot of designer pieces.

Ashlynn had never seen someone splurging as much as Jeremy before.

Even if money were only paper at the end of the day, she would still feel the pain at the sight of it. She was also shocked.

When Jeremy was about to purchase her a watch that cost close to a million, she went forward to stop him. “No!”

“Why?”

"Are you trying to freak me out? Why did you purchase so many things for me?” Ashlynn still could not calm herself down.

“I just wanted to make up for your injuries yesterday. Can't I do so? Plus, from now on, you can spend all my money, and I will protect you. Who dares to bully you, I will kick their asses,” Jeremy said confidently.
