Chapter 1240

Corentin kept his eyes on the computer screen and replied, “No need. Let's find a place to eat. "Okay."

Corentin called Ashlynn on his phone. “I'm busy, so I won't be able to visit.

Remember to eat.”

“Oh.”

"What are you doing?”

“Feeding Chichi.”

“You care so much about it.”

“It's been with me for so long. Of course, I'll take care of it,” Ashlynn said lightly.

Corentin’s eyes flickered. “What about me?”

“I don't want to talk about this.” Ashlynn did not expect him to ask that.

“Ashlynn, you are really cruel.”

Ashlynn could not tell if Corentin was angry, but she did not feel like trying to figure it out. “Is there anything else you want? I'm going to eat.”

"You can't go anywhere with my baby in you,” Corentin said before hanging up the phone. Corentin rested his jaw on his phone, squinting his eyes and looking out the car window.

The Bintley stopped in front of the clubhouse.

The car following them also stopped, and Meredith watched Corentin leave the car alone and enter the club alone. The people in the club greeted him respectfully.

Meredith wondered if Corentin was here for dinner alone. Could it be that he had a date with Ashlynn? She was not going to allow that!

After entering, she went to the restaurant on the second floor and saw Corentin sitting alone by the window.

She walked over. “Corentin, what a coincidence. Are you eating here too?”

Corentin, who was looking at the menu, gave her a dark look but said nothing.

“Can I sit here?” Meredith asked.

“Sit.”

Meredith smiled and sat down with her delicate face in her hands. “I haven't seen you since I got engaged. Why are you so busy? You say you're busy, and yet you're eating here alone? Why don't you give me a call?”

“I didn’t know you were free.” Corentin said, then asked, “Want some food?”

"Okay!" Meredith's mood improved, seeing him ask her if she wanted food. “Let's order a bottle of red wine and drink it together.”

Corentin did as she said.

It really did look like a romantic dinner.

“Where will you be going later?” Meredith asked while cutting the steak on the plate.

“Back.”

Meredith asked him, “When are you coming to my house for dinner? My grandpa was still talking about this yesterday.”

"When I'm free, I'll call Mr. Hilton myself,” Corentin said.

Meredith nodded. “Okay.”

After dinner, they left the clubhouse.

As soon as Corentin got into the car, Meredith squeezed in, sat next to him, and offered to hold his hand.

Corentin turned his face expressionlessly and looked at the slender hand on his arm with dark eyes. “What's the matter? You are my fiance now, isn't this kind of physical contact normal? “Meredith said gently, “By the way, tonight I'm going to sleep in the mansion.”

Corentin withdrew his gaze and looked forward. “Whatever pleases you.”

Seeing that he agreed so eloquently, Meredith was even more sure she was on her way to success!
