(Victor Pov)

There wasn’t the cheerful girl to whom everyone one accustomed to. There wasn’t the girl, who when entered in a room, chaos would just enter behind her. There was a very broken girl standing there with face full of black and blue bruises.

Coming out of my trance I glanced towards Daniel. His eyes were blinking to black which means his wolf was fighting for control. Drew took off his black hoodie which he wore on his shirt and made Jennifer wear it in order to keep her warm as her very skinny hoodie wasn’t of much help.

We escorted her back to the palace and everyone departed to their rooms without uttering a single word.

(Day 18)

(Jennifer POV)

The day started with me seeing a lot of food and medics in my room. They tended to my wounds without asking any questions as if they knew everything and like someone had threatened them not to ask. When they left next came a chaos of very familiar ugly faces along with a bodyguard. Came would be an understatement. They seriously leaped on the poor guard and fell down with him on the floor.

I told him to let them in but he told me that it was a strict order not to let anyone in simultaneously pushing them out. “Hey I have the bestest ever news for you.”This girl uses some different dictionary.

I requested the guard to atleast let Crystal in and stand in a corner so he could continue seeing my beautiful face. He gave me a very weird expression but nonetheless stood in the corner after kicking the boys out. “So what’s the news Agent C?”

“I have received information from my people that the Satan, the experiment and the experiment helper were kicked out of the palace Agent J” I wasn’t able to utter another word out of sheer happiness. Before I could say anything the bodyguard had a sudden urge to appreciate our acting.Yes. No.

“Everyone is ordered to show their presence in the court my lady.” Helping me to get off the bed, we made our way to the court to show our beautiful presence to everyone. Little did we know that we would soon be killed by a heart attack.

There in the centre of the court stood David and Alexandria holding hands. Ok so they are basically good friends.Idiot they are mates.Oh. It was a little suspicious as it would have been impossible for them never to meet and now out of nowhere announce themselves as mates. I wasn’t sure about anyone else, but I was definitely worried for Alexandria fromcoughpast experiencescoughand the fact that she never tried to go against me or behaved like an enemy to me. Passing the facts that she still didn’t stop them or help me in any way still I thinked that she deserved better. But it wasn’t my place to take decisions as I had problems of my own to solve.

After they made the official announcement, everyone congratulated them and wished them for a happy future. I sympathized for her .Damn girl’s life was gonna be destroyed soon.

When we gathered at the entrance to wish them a farewell, to everyone’s shock David had a very black eye. What I noticed with my very strong detective skills was that he didn’t made an eyecontact with the King and somewhat looked terrified meanwhile the latter was glaring.

Guess I was the luckiest human on the earth.
