Watching the reporter's segment, Leonora felt as if she was going mad. Her daughter was left badly burned, and that bitched Clara was welcomed back by the York family with open arms. Everything Leonara had done was for naught.

She slumped to the floor with a thud, wailing in agony. The other inmates in the cafeteria cast disdainful looks her way. The on-duty guard approached, nudging Leonora's shoe with his foot, and said in a cold tone, "Leonora, cut the drama. You've got a visitor."

Hearing about a visitor, Leonora immediately stifled her sobs. She had to seize any chance to get out. She couldn't let her daughter suffer like this, nor could she allow Clara and lan to live so blissfully. Scrambling up from the floor, she rushed to the visiting room, full of hope. But upon seeing who it was, her face twisted in disappointment. She glared at Edwin and demanded, "Why are you here?" Edwin smirked, "Who did you expect? Someone from your old crew? Leonora, you've been discarded a long time ago. Did you really think anyone would come to save you?" Leonora stared daggers at him. "You think that Clara will be happy by restoring her to her family? That's too naive. I'll make sure Clara experiences the same agony Heidi suffered." Edwin's eyes turned steely. "So you admit that Heidi is you and Paolo's daughter, is that it?"

"I'm surprised you found out so quickly. Yes, she is me and Paolo's child, and I am the one who killed May. Imagine Clara's reaction when she finds out her newfound mother was murdered by the mother of the man she loves. Do you think she and lan can still make it?" Leonora threw her head back and laughed maniacally.

Edwin clenched his fists tightly. His suspicions were correct.

Paolo had an affair with Leonora, who had gotten pregnant outside her marriage and used a mountain climbing accident as a cover for a miscarriage. In reality, she had secretly given birth to Heidi and then killed May, a classic case of baby-switching.

Furious at the thought, Edwin bit down hard on his teeth. "Leonora, don't you want to see the state your daughter is in now?" He pulled out his phone and played a video.

As Leonora saw Heidi on the screen, she shook her head frantically in denial. "This can't be Heidi. You must be lying to me!"

Edwin pocketed his phone, his gaze harsh as he stared her down. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you suffer just as much for your misdeeds, just like her!"
