Samantha felt that Kendrick’s words were as though a bomb had gone off. It dealt a 

huge blow to her. 

She had given her everything to Kendrick in the past. Instead, what she got in return 

was seeing beautiful women by his side again and again. 

She had wanted to deepen her understanding of Ford Corporation to destroy him. 

However, she was now presented with the opportunity to take care of him. Funny 

how fate always had a mind of its own. 

“Alright, Mr. Ford,” Samantha agreed with a polite smile. 

She took the small notebook from Kendrick and read through it quietly. 

Time went by agonizingly slow on the plane. They both read books or the news to 

kill time. When they touched down, Samantha was a little confused. The sun was 

still shining so brightly but all she wanted to do was to sleep. Kendrick felt the same. 

The hotel Jude booked for them was luxurious. It was equipped with all kinds of 

facilities. 

The sleepy Samantha looked at the receptionist with impatience. 

She asked fluently, “Miss, are you sure there’s only one suite?” 

“Yes. Mr. Lawson only booked one.

Samantha looked through the tight schedule. She then called Francis and informed 

him that she might be delayed.

Samantha mistook it for Kendrick’s hand. She turned around and unexpectedly 

found herself near Conrad’s handsome face. The scent of cologne filled her nostrils.

“Ms. Meadows, are you alright?” the socialite exclaimed..

Conrad’s eyes lit up from hearing Samantha’s fluency in another language. 

The socialite eyed the two and left with a knowing look. This confused Samantha.

Samantha touched the tip of her nose. She disliked it when men wore cologne. 

“Ms. Meadows, I hope that we can work together, if there’s a chance.” 

Conrad casually clinked glasses with her. With a playful smile, he brushed away the strands of hair from her forehead. He then calmly walked away.
