Martha wondered how many women’s hearts Kendrick had to break before he would stop. 

She felt sad for these women. But as the housekeeper of the Ford family, she couldn’t comment on it too much. 

“This is too much!” 

As time passed, Linda grew angrier. Grabbing her purse immediately, she ran out. She wanted to know what Kendrick was busying himself over. 

Standing at the door of the president’s office, Samantha took a deep breath. She lifted her hand to knock. No matter how much she detested Kendrick, this wasn’t the time to express that. 

“Come in,” he said calmly and devoid of emotion. 

Samantha could imagine its owner’s icy face just from hearing the voice. She opened the door while plastering a huge smile on her face. 

“Mr. Ford.” Still smiling, Samantha greeted him and approached the desk. 

She glanced around the office. Kendrick was the only person in the spacious room. A few documents were placed on the desk, along with a mug of coffee. 

He was indeed working. 

Samantha raised an eyebrow slightly, feeling surprised. She also felt an unusual emotion she didn’t recognize. 

“Please have a seat, Ms. Meadows.” Kendrick gestured for Samantha to sit as he studied her. 

Watching the flawless smile on her face, he couldn’t help but recall her angry face last night. He wondered if she had calmed down. 

Samantha handed the folder to Kendrick. “Mr. Ford, here are the initial design. drafts.” 

She wore a perfectly polite smile on her face, just like when they met two days ago. She seemed to have completely forgotten about last night. 

Kendrick pursed his l*ps, not saying a word as he accepted the folder. He examined Samantha, who was in front of him. 

Politely, Samantha said, “Please review them and determine if there is anything I

Kendrick was the president of Ford Corporation. Naturally, he was very skilled in business. But Samantha felt that he couldn’t measure up to her when it came to design. 

Nodding, Kendrick opened the folder. When he saw the smooth lines, his eyes filled with surprise. 

“Your designs are certainly quite decent, Ms. Meadows,” Kendrick praised her earnestly. 

Samantha accepted it graciously with a smile. “Thank you.” 

The two discussed the details of the initial drafts. An hour passed by in the blink of an eye. 

“If there’s nothing else, I’ll be taking my leave now,” Samantha said with traces of fatigue on her face. She had been working from morning until now. She hadn’t even had dinner. 

She was preoccupied with drafting the designs earlier, so she didn’t quite mind it. But now that her work had been completed, she was hungry. 

Observing her demeanor, Kendrick nodded. 

“How are you going home, Ms. Meadows?” Kendrick asked calmly. 

Samantha was caught off guard, so she blurted out, “I’m hailing a taxi.” 

She immediately regretted it. 

Since returning to Sentius City, she had yet to buy a car. She had been driving Francis‘ eye–catching red Ferrari. Francis had some matters to attend to today, so he dropped her off at the company in the morning. He had already driven away 

with the car. 

They had agreed that Francis would pick her up after work. However, she didn’t expect to work overtime this late. Francis should be putting Nathan to bed right now. So, Samantha didn’t plan on letting Francis make the trip.

“I’ll send you home,” Kendrick said decisively. 

He gathered the documents he had placed on the desk. 

“It’s fine, I can just hail a ride…” Samantha declined instinctively. 

Kendrick looked up at her and spoke calmly. “It’s not a problem. I live at

Samantha was at a loss for words. She didn’t know what other excuses she could come up with to decline. 

Samantha had been Kendrick’s wife for three years, yet she didn’t know much about his properties. She was unaware of his wealth and the number of houses he owned. 

She recalled when Kendrick first sent her home. He didn’t face any resistance when they drove into Cloudtop Villas. The next day, he had appeared at the entrance of her house too.
