Chapter 0017 

Linda entered Kendrick’s office. 

His head was bowed while he reviewed some documents. Jude stood before his table. He noticed her immediately and was about to greet her. 

Linda immediately reached out and placed a finger on her red l*ps, gesturing for silence. Jude smiled but did not say anything. 

As he had already noticed her, it was impossible for Kendrick not to have sensed her as well. 

Linda approached his table and reached out to take the documents from his hand, but Kendrick easily dodged her extended hand, 

Without sparing a single glance, he asked, “Why are you here?” 

Linda pursed her l*ps and circled his table in dissatisfaction. Her soft b*dy leaned against Kendrick as she asked, “Kenny, what are you looking at so seriously?” 

“A document.” Kendrick placed the paper in his drawer as he spoke. He simultaneously pushed Linda off of him. 

Having been shoved off in Jude’s presence, Linda was too embarrassed to lean on him again. 

She felt indignant. Although she didn’t manage to catch the details of the entire document, she caught a clear glimpse of a picture of a woman. She looked similar to the woman who was touching up her makeup in the washroom. 

Linda figured that it was another shameless b*tch. No wonder she had to keep freshening up her makeup wherever she went. 

Linda clenched her teeth and tugged Kendrick’s arm. She looked at him with bright eyes. She said coyly, “Kenny, you haven’t kept me company for a long time. Would you like to have dinner tonight?” 

“I have some business to attend to. You can ask Damien to accompany you and go shopping with you. Use my card to buy anything you want.” Kendrick stood up and took his wallet from his coat. He placed his credit card before Linda. 

Although Linda was dissatisfied, she was still quite happy since she could use his credit card. She felt that this was a privilege that only his girlfriend would have. 

There were so many different women by Kendrick’s side. But today, she got her hands on his card. It was a matter of time before she would become the lady of his

Linda concealed her calculating gaze. Kendrick did not notice it as he was getting ready to leave. 

He requested Jude to arrange for the car and immediately left his office. 

“Thanks, but I don’t want to.” Samantha had just rejected another guy from trying to flirt with her. She headed for the streets, walking in her high heels. 

She had just gotten off the plane today. She intended to ask Kendrick to escort her back, but she hadn’t expected to see Linda enter his office. So, she decided to leave and call a taxi instead. 

She could not stand watching them flirt in front of her. She might not be able to endure it and may end up confronting them. 

However, it wasn’t easy to hail a ride at such a time. Samantha gritted her teeth and cursed Kendrick in her heart. 

Suddenly, a black Maybach stopped before her. Samantha was slightly annoyed as she turned to move to a better position. 

The window rolled down and a cold voice sounded out. “Ms. Meadows, why don’t I send you home?” 

Samantha stopped walking. She turned around to see Kendrick’s cold and 

indifferent expression. She wanted to reject his offer. Instead, she reached out to open the passenger door and entered. 

She chastised herself. If she couldn’t even face him, getting revenge would be impossible. Samantha pursed her l*ps, and she looked upset. 

Kendrick immediately knew what she was upset about. He explained, “I was about to arrange for someone to drive you home. However, Jude had a last minute errand to run. I also happened to be heading out, so I came personally to get you myself. I hope you don’t mind.” 

Actually, he had forgotten all about it. He coincidentally saw Samantha standing there waiting for a taxi. He couldn’t stop himself from driving over to pick her up. 

Samantha widened her eyes as confusion flashed across them. She assumed that He would be preoccupied with making out with the woman at his office. She couldn’t understand why he had the time to send her home. 

She had her doubts, yet she did not voice them out. Instead, she said, “And here I thought that was the extent of your company’s hospitality.”

Kendrick did not argue with her. He could sense Samantha’s anger. But he was still waiting for the real reason behind her anger to be revealed. 

He stepped on the accelerator, and the car drove off. 

“Ms. Meadows, where do you plan to go?” 

“You can drop me off at Cloudtop Villas. I just returned today, so I need to tidy up my house.” Samantha said lazily as she leaned back against the seat. Her gaze was fixed on the scenery outside. 

Kendrick did not respond but stole a glance at her. After a moment, he retracted his gaze. 

He pondered if she was indeed Samantha. Their personalities and attitudes were completely different. 

The trip to the villa was silent as they both got lost in their own thoughts. 

They quickly arrived at Cloudtop Villas. The area was well–known in Sentius City for its villas. Everyone who stayed there was powerful person from the City. Kendrick also had a villa in the neighborhood, making it easy for him to enter the 

area. 

Samantha did not notice it. 

The car stopped at her villa, and Samantha quickly alighted. She was about to turn to head in but she stopped after a moment of hesitation. She said, “Thanks, Mr. Ford.” 

Kendrick glanced at the villa. His next sentence was astonishing. “Aren’t you going to invite me in? 

“I think that may be inconvenient. After all, I just returned today. I still need to straighten up the house. If you want, I can treat you to a meal another day.” Samantha smiled widely. She mused if this was the real Kendrick Ford. 

No wonder so many women in Sentius City desired to be with him. Back then, even though they had been married for three years, Kendrick had never once. taken the initiative with her. 

“Since you offered, I’ll wait for your arrangement,” Kendrick said with a smirk. However, there was no hint of amusement on his face. 

He quickly agreed to the meal and sped away, leaving Samantha standing where she was. 

She watched as he left, and the smile on her face faded away. She looked coldly in

taking the initiative, at least he saved her the trouble of finding a way to get closer to him. 

Samantha entered her home. Her son, Nathan, lay on the sofa. He watched as Francis searched for something in his luggage. 

She took her shoes off and placed her keys on the table. She sat beside Nathan and k*ssed both his cheeks. “What are you two looking for?” 

“Uncle Francis just gave me a bath. But we can’t find my undies.” Nathan said. with worry. He was about to pull his pants to show Samantha he was going commando. 

Francis saw Samantha and looked relieved. “Quick, help your son. He’s been bugging me to look for it. Why can’t he put up with not wearing any underwear? It’s not a big deal!”
