All of a sudden a hand grasped my mouth and held me there. My eyes immediately sprang open to see both ash and flint sat either side of me looking terrified and dead silent; Like they had seen a ghost. I tried to speak but ash just crushed my mouth even more. Then I heard voices. I pealed Ash’s hand off me and crept over to the entrance of the hole and saw two men with a large sack. A body bag! Thankfully it was empty but then they said something.
“I’m sure I saw him run this way”
“well if you didn’t then we could just go get those blue orchids. They're worth a couple hundred.”
“ I guess but I want that million-dollar bounty though.”
“ don’t we all”
After that they walked back the way they came. We all stayed silent for a minute then I said: “who are they?”
Flint replied “scavengers”
“who” I wondered.
“you’ve got to be jo…” then Ash interrupted.
“they hunt for the government. Collecting everything they want.It can range from a doughnut all the way to a dead body”
“then what do they want with orchids”
“the president probably wants them as an anniversary gift for his wife”
“Ummm… ok then”
We all stood up and left the hole. We covered the entrance with a huge rock then left. as we began walking I realised that they were both normal teens like me .just as lost, just as afraid. I had a feeling they had a specific place to go as we would change direction so quickly like they knew exactly how to get there (wherever there was). Once we entered a clearing we stopped and in the centre stood a boy. His hair was white and his skin was so pure. He looked immortal. The light left his face and he came running over to greet us. He hugged both of them tight and just stared at me.
He spoke “so this is the girl ethera you sure? Looks too nice to me. well, we’ll train her till her powers shine.”
I looked at him. I was not convinced but I played his silly game anyway. First, he got me to sit down on this podium which was not easy for someone of my stature but I managed to get up.
“Imagine a black nothingness,” He said.
“watch as colour bursts from within freeing you from the darkness. A silent force comes to you. Tell me what do they look like”
To my surprise it was working I saw it all so replied “It's me but my hair it looks like a galaxy and m…my hands they are calling me to them”
I went silent just following my mind. The figure lead me to a small box and told me to destroy it.so I walked over and punched it but it just sprang back to shape. It said “Try harder” I tried again and still the same thing. “this time with your mind” I was confused. I’m not magic. Am I? This time I stood there rotating my hands trying to get something to appear but it didn’t work. The figure said “ say et fluxus temporis spatio mens mea first then try” That is exactly what I did and then a black hole grew from nothing and tor the box apart. A load of things appeared behind me and I did the exact same thing but I didn’t need to say the words aloud as long as they were in my mind I could control my powers.”
I rose from my epiphany enlightened. Straight away the man said “ show us” I raised my hand and spun my wrist and a small black hole appeared I threw it in the air and caught it with my bare hands. I could not believe my eyes. I showed them that I could destroy anything. I threw it at pine cone and it made it blow up and I called it back. After this, I started to feel weak. My smile fell and Ash came running over but I was out cold before I even hit the ground.
