Martin, although not entirely confident, was optimistic. "This treatment combines the best ideas Nicole and I could think of. It's not a guarantee, but it's the best shot we have," he explained, handing Patricia a bottle of medicine along with detailed instructions and precautions.

Patricia nodded, taking the medicine and agreeing to return in a week for a follow-up. She thanked Martin, who assured her that both he and Nicole were committed to helping her.

As they wrapped up, Cindy suggested they all have dinner together. Nicole agreed, offering to treat everyone as a thank you for their support. Cindy playfully insisted on paying instead, seeing it as an opportunity to relax after a successful meeting.

As they were about to leave, everyone stopped in their tracks at the sight of Ellar at the door. Lulu, surprised, called out his name.

Ellar, looking visibly distressed, had eyes only for Patricia- or more specifically, her face. His expression was one of heartache, and he seemed weighed down by worry.

Patricia, taken aback by his presence, quickly covered her face with a bandage and hid behind Nicole, her hands trembling. She was overwhelmed, not expecting Ellar to be there, and especially not for him to see her in her current state.

Ellar, desperate for answers, approached Patricia. "What happened to you, Patricia?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Patricia, instinctively stepping back, tried to dismiss his worries. But Ellar, persistent, was blocked by Nicole.

"Ellar, give her some time and space," Nicole said gently, sensing the tension and complexity of the situation.

Ellar, realizing his abruptness, apologized and calmed down. He had braced himself for bad news about Patricia, but seeing her like this was still a shock. He wondered how she had been coping and felt a deep sense of concern for her.

Trying to stay composed, he asked, "Is this injury from that hospital incident?"
