Jared Gallagher felt that Kenneth had also been mysterious lately. He was obviously worried that Arabella would be picked on, so he showed up at the engagement party. But after seeing that Arabella got out safe and sound, he went back to the company by himself.

Arabella went downstairs and asked, "Mr. Hooper, why are maids cleaning the house? Is it a special day today? Or are we having a distinguished guest coming?"

Bryson Hooper avoided looking at her in the eye. He just replied, "Mrs...Mrs. Lucero, Mr. Lucero just called to say that he has invited a guest of honor home and they will come back later. He told me to prepare for the reception."

Since Kenneth didn't tell her in advance, Arabella had no idea who the guest was.
