Jared went up to Mrs. Gallagher and half crouched in front of her. He took the blanket and put it over Mrs. Gallagher's crippled legs, whispering, "Mom, I know. I won't love her." He tried to convince himself.

Mrs. Gallagher felt sorry for her son. She touched Jared's head, saying, "Jared, I'll go home now. I don't want to push you. You have grown up and have your own ideas. Aurora has come back. I hope you can handle it well by yourself."

The bodyguard in black came in and wheeled Mrs. Gallagher away.

Jared stood in the living room for a moment. Then he looked up to the room.

The door was tightly closed.

Jared went upstairs and opened the door. The room was empty.

Aurora had left.

Where did she go?

The door was always closed. How did she get out?

Jared's eyes turned dark. He quickly stepped onto the balcony. The windows were open and the lawn below suggested someone had fallen on it.

Jared's face clouded. He took out his phone to make a call while quickly walking downstairs and out the gate with his car key.

Aurora's phone was disconnected. There was a mechanical female voice on the phone, "Sorry, the subscriber you dialed can not be connected for the moment, please redial later." Jared's eyes turned scarlet. She had changed a lot in the past two years, from sweet and soft to bright and prickly. She was so afraid of pain but now she could jump off the balcony. Then cold raindrops hit his hands. It was raining.

The rain was very heavy. The pedestrians in the street held umbrellas and hurried to go home.

Aurora stumbled down the street. Her leg was bleeding. The blood ran down her fine skin and into a pool on the ground.

Her clothes were all wet, and she was sore and cold.

She had no strength to move. It should be far enough. Aurora sat beside a small flower bed, curled her knees, and held herself slowly.
