My Muted Mate
Chapter 1

I woke up to my alarm clock playing ‘My Immortal’ by Evanescence. Groaning, I shut my alarm clock off and got out of bed. I looked at the time and it read 5:00 am. Man I’m tired. Yawning, I went to my dresser.

I grabbed some ripped skinny jeans and a maroon shirt with a tan scarf plus my white and red converse shoes. I went in my bathroom, that is connected to my room. I turned on the shower and looked at the mirror.

I had a black eye, a long cut on my cheek, and a busted lip. I pulled up my shirt and winced. I had black, blue, purple, and yellow bruises on my stomach.

I sighed and stripped. I climbed in the shower and let the warm water relax my tight muscles. After 20 minutes of showering, I turned off the water. I stepped out and grabbed two towels. I wrapped one around my body and hair.

I did my makeup and that includes- mascara, lip gloss, and concealer. I covered all the bruises, and cuts on my face. I put my hair in waves and put my clothes on.

I checked the time and it said 6:30 a.m. OK, I have 30 minutes till my dad wakes up, time to wake my siblings up. I knocked on everybody’s door but my dad’s. I ran downstairs and started cooking breakfast.

After I made breakfast, I set the table. Everyone came down after I set the table and started eating. I grabbed an apple and my bag. I grabbed my keys to my car because my dad didn’t want to have to take us to school.

After everybody was done, they grabbed their bags and we got in my car. I started up my car and backed out of the drive way. I put it in drive and started driving to school. I hope today is a better day the yesterday was.
