At lunch, Caleb came up to the table I was at and sat down. I looked at him and he looked happy. Hmm.... wonder what he’s happy about? I was about to ask him when he cut me off. Rude much?

“I’m helping your mate out,” He said. My eyebrows pulled together in confusion. “You know what happened to Julia (His little sister)?” He asked. I nodded and looked at him curiously. “Well, the same thing happened to your mate. I was going to use the cure on her too,” He said. Anger boiled up inside me. Yeah, I know what happened to Julia and I watched it happen, I don’t want my mate feeling that.

“Why would you suggest that?!” I yelled. “You know how it is! I don’t want her in pain!” I yelled. Caleb shook his head and opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off. “No! You can’t do that to her, Caleb! You have to tell her you can’t” I demanded. I can’t believe him.

“No, Xavier.” He said in a calm voice. Did he just-? “Yes I did say no to you. This is our Luna we’re talking about. I can’t just stand on the sidelines and watch her get bullied because she can’t talk. I want to protect her just as much as you, maybe a little less, but I can’t stand watching this bi-chs do this to her. Please, Xavier, let me help her,” He begged. Wow, I’ve never seen him like this. I sighed in defeat.

“Okay,” I said. His face lit up like a kid on Christmas day. “Thank you,” I said. He gave me a confused look. “For helping her and caring so much for her,” I said. I can tell the whole pack (Besides the sluts) love their Luna. We heard someone get up and storm off. We all turned and saw my mate looking so pissed. She stormed out of the cafeteria and we turned to her friends. They all had their mouth wide open, looking at where she left.

“Wow, I wonder what happened when she told them she will be gone for a week. Apparently it wasn’t good if it made Bliss so pissed off like that,” Caleb said. I had to agree with him on that one. It must be something that wasn’t so good. I nodded and we all turned back to our lunch’s and continued eating.
