Seeing Jaxson coming back, Freya said in a voice loud enough for Athena to hear, "I won't meet Ms. Stella alone. When Byron arrives, if she has anything to discuss, I'll ask Byron to accompany me." She mentioned Byron again.

It sounded like they were very close.

Athena sat in the car with her legs crossed. She held her phone in one hand and tapped her knee gently with the other.

"Chelsea is looking for you."

Jaxson handed the phone to Martin impatiently.

Martin quickly took it and said, "Ms. Stella!"

"Mr. McLean, have Jaxson take Freya away. If Byron wants to pursue it, I'll take full responsibility," Athena said firmly.

It sent a chill right down Martin's spine.

"Ms. Stella, why don't you wait a bit? Mr. Crawford's plane will arrive at the port in a little while." Martin tried to persuade her.

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, and then Athena replied, "Fine."

Martin instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

But then, he heard Athena say, "Then all of you wait at the airport. Jaxson will go with you. When Byron arrives, you'll all go to Lola's mansion together." Before Martin could speak, Athena hung up the phone.

As soon as she heard that Byron had sent Martin to protect Freya, her anger started to rise.

After hanging up the phone, Athena immediately instructed the driver to leave the airport and head toward Lola's mansion.

About twenty minutes later, Byron's plane arrived at the port, and he called Athena as soon as it landed.

The call was quickly answered.

"Babe, are you at the airport?" Byron asked.

Athena replied in a cold tone, "Jaxson is waiting there. Come find me yourself."

Byron sensed that something was off from her tone. "What's wrong?"

"You'll know soon enough."

Athena hung up the phone.

Her phone went into Do Not Disturb mode.

Byron tried calling Athena again but couldn't get through.

His face darkened, and he had a bad feeling.

Martin, who had seen Byron's plane land, quickly called him. "Mr. Crawford, Ms. Bates just landed, and Ms. Stella sent Jaxson with several people to take her away... I don't know what's going on, so I didn't let them go."

Byron finally figured out what was wrong.

"Where are you now?" Byron asked in a deep voice.

"We're still at the arrival gate. Ms. Stella didn't let me take Ms. Bates away. She asked me to wait with Ms. Bates and Jaxson until your plane lands, and then we'll go to Mrs. Lola Crawford's mansion together," Martin answered.

"Lauries Mansion?" Byron furrowed his brow.

He had a rough idea of why Athena was behaving this way.

"Yes," Martin replied.

"I see." Byron was about to hang up when he remembered Athena's cold tone. He took a deep breath, suppressing the anger that was about to erupt. "Martin."

"Yes!" Martin immediately responded.

"Ms. Stella is my wife. What she says is the same as what I say. Just do as she say. Why provoke her?" He grew more and more furious. "Don't do anything stupid again!"

Martin trembled with fear.

Even though Byron wasn't in front of him, he bowed respectfully. "Yes, Mr. Crawford. I won't do it again."

Byron didn't say anything more.

He just angrily hung up the phone.
