Chapter 542 As Calm As a Mountain

Aron sent Evie back to his home first.

Aron had asked the servant to replace the guest room with brand-new bedding and prepare a hot pack.

They entered the house.

Evie was shocked by the empty but tasteful home.

Aron took her hand and walked to the living room. Then, he pressed her to sit down on the sofa. "Apply the hot pack on your face, and then I'll go to get you necessities." "I have told them," Evie replied.

She wanted to send what she needed to Aron, but there were many private items.

Therefore, she sent a message to the servant at home.

"Alright." Aron patted Evie's head, "I'll get the hot pack."

"OK."

Evie stared after Aron.

He took off his coat, revealing the white shirt and suit pants. His shoulders were broad, and his waist, hip... Evie swallowed.

Then, she quickly looked away. Afraid of hurting herself, she patted her cheek lightly. "Be sober, you anthomaniac!"

Aron went back soon.

He sat opposite Evie and gently touched the bruise on her face. When Aron did that, they were close.

They were so close that they could feel each other's breath.

Evie looked down, daring not to show any emotions.

She didn't mind if something happened between her and Aron. She had married him, and that day would come sooner or later. However, Evie didn't want anything to happen at that moment. Otherwise, something unhappy would be left in her memories.

The thought flashed in her mind.

Evie was stunned suddenly.

What was something unhappy? Was it Caspian?

Evie used to love Caspian. She was willing to do anything for him. She was optimistic.

In the past four years, it seemed that her tears would be drained.

When they broke up, Evie also felt heart-pierced.

She thought she had to heal the pain caused by Caspian for the rest of her life.

She also pessimistically thought she couldn't forget Caspian because she loved him so much.

How many days had it been?

Evie had treated Caspian as someone who would bring her unhappiness.

In other words, Caspian deserved that.

If he hadn't done anything like that and just disappeared from Evie's life, he wouldn't be classified as someone who would bring her unhappiness. "Why are you smiling?"

There came Aron's gentle question.

Evie came to her senses. She looked up at Aron and shook her head. "Nothing. I'm just happy."

Aron glanced at her, and his tone was somewhat displeased. "You were almost smothered to death. Why are you still happy? I was almost scared to death." "I'll tell you later." Evie blinked.

Evie knew that her eyes were the most beautiful among her facial features.

Athena said that she liked Evie's eyes the most and wanted to buy insurance for her eyes.

She was seducing Aron.

"Mrs. Timberlake, you have two secrets. Don't forget to tell me later," Aron said patiently.

"Mr. Timberlake, I can't guarantee I will never forget it. Why don't you take it down in a notebook?" Evie blinked again.

Why?

Aron looked as calm as a mountain.

He didn't even blush.

About thirty minutes later.

Evie was sleepy.

Seeing that, Aron said, "It's almost done. You can do it yourself, and I'll go to get your necessities."

"OK."

Evie nodded.

Aron patted her head and went out..
