Chapter 378 Dislike Me

"I don't..."

"Hurry up! After delivering him, there's another high fall injury case nearby!" The driver urged.

A few doctors and nurses hastily carried Byron into the car.

Byron refused to let go of Athena's hand.

She reluctantly moved forward and got into the car, her face expressionless as the ambulance siren blared, taking them to the hospital.

Inside the ambulance...

The doctor conducted some examinations on Byron.

No major issues were found.

"He should have an MRI of his head," said the doctor.

Athena nodded.

She took out her phone to call Scarlett.

"Chelsea!"

Scarlett answered within seconds.

"First of all, I'm not his wife, and I don't know him. This is ridiculous!" Athena said impatiently.

The doctors and nurses glanced at her.

Athena continued with a blank expression, "Prepare for the meeting as usual. If I don't come back in time, I'll join via video call."

"Okay!" Scarlett replied decisively.

Athena hung up.

She tried to free her hand.

But it was still gripped.

She shouldn't have called an ambulance.

She should have stuffed Byron into the car, driven him to a deserted suburb, and chopped off his hand.

Soon, they arrived at the hospital.

Public hospitals are crowded, unlike private ones.

Byron was placed in the emergency room, waiting for an MRI.

The rescue team left.

Athena patted the back of his hand. "Byron, I won't leave. Let go of my hand. You're hurting me."

Byron opened his eyes, his red eyes filled with grievances that Athena couldn't comprehend.

"You can't deceive me," he said, his tone also filled with grievance.

"Mr. Crawford, although I don't like you, I wouldn't leave you alone in the hospital," Athena said, lowering her gaze and trying to pull her hand away again. This time, Byron let go.

She withdrew her hand, took out disinfectant wipes from her bag, and wiped the blood from Byron's hand, frowning.

"You dislike me?" Byron asked softly.

Athena didn't look at him. "Mr. Crawford, if you were stalked by a psychopath, would you like him?"

Byron furrowed his brow, his eyes turning even redder.

He gazed at Athena with mixed feelings.

Eventually, he fell silent, not uttering a word.

Pressing his stomach with his hand, he dropped his eyes.

Athena glanced at his hand and pondered for a moment. "Mr. Crawford, do you need me to call someone for you?"

"No one you can call," Byron replied coldly. "I've cut all ties with my family."

"What about your assistant? Your secretary?" Athena inquired.

"I don't want them to come. It's troublesome," Byron frowned deeply.

Athena licked her dry lips. "Understood."

She took out her phone.

Byron looked at her. "What do you understand?"

Athena turned the phone over, revealing the name "Ms. Bates" on the screen.

"I'll ask Ms. Bates to come over."

"Athena!"

Byron suddenly stood up and snatched her phone. His anger brought some color to his pale face.

"Hey, give me back my phone!"

Athena also stood up.

But in the next second...

Byron suddenly doubled over in pain, clutching his stomach and curling up.

"You..." Athena was taken aback.

Despite the pain, he still held onto her phone tightly.

This guy was truly something.
