Chapter 376 Car Accident

Standing on the side of the road, he appeared noble, but to Athena, he seemed lost, like a stray dog unable to find its way home.

Athena reflected on his past determination to abort the child.

It was quite different from his look now.

What was done was done, and he could not be forgiven.

Athena rolled down the car window and followed the front car back home without another look at him.

Byron went to check on the kitten again.

Initially, he didn't have much interest in keeping the kitten. He had just planned to save it for Mia's sake and find a reliable employee to adopt it.

But now...

He changed his mind.

He had to keep it, but he could not take it back to the apartment. The place was filled with Thea's belongings, and he didn't want the kitten to scratch them.

He looked at the kitten.

Countless thoughts raced through his mind.

Instead of returning to the apartment, he aimlessly drove around the city until he stopped outside Athena's studio.

The studio was brightly lit.

Byron wasn't sure if she was still working.

The answer...

Byron came the next morning.

He saw Athena's car approaching from a distance.

She was surprised to find another vehicle parked in her spot.

She got out of the car and walked over to see if the driver had left a phone number.

As she got closer, she noticed a person inside the car, curled up as if asleep.

Athena approached the window and tapped a few times.

The person in the car woke up quickly and rolled down the window.

He looked out with a frown before they were both stunned.

"Why are you here?" Athena asked, furrowing her brow.

Byron didn't look happy either. He looked away and put his hand on his stomach, looking visibly pained.

"I was passing by, feeling unwell, so I stopped for a while. I'll leave now." Byron winced in extreme pain as he finished speaking.

"You can't drive like this. Call for a substitute driver." Athena frowned.

"It's fine. I just had ice cream yesterday..."

Ice cream?

Athena lowered her gaze, wondering if he had ice cream with Mia at the playground.

Byron had a history of stomach issues.

So, he was particular about his diet.

It seemed his condition had worsened.

Athena thought to herself.

A villainous thought crept into her mind, warning her, "Don't sympathize with the scumbag, or you'll bring bad luck upon yourself!" Athena snapped out of her thoughts.

She moved her car so that Byron's car could come out.

Byron glanced at her in disbelief.

He looked so pitiful, and she wanted him to leave.

The last trace of blood disappeared from Byron's lips.

He started the car and slowly pulled out of the parking space.

Athena entered her car, quickly parked it, got out, and locked the door. Then she was ready to head to the studio.

The sound of a crash suddenly echoed through the air.

She immediately turned around.

Byron's car had collided with the wall, causing it to tilt, and the front end was severely damaged.

"Byron!"

Athena exclaimed.

She rushed over for a look.

Thick smoke billowed from the front of the car, and the airbag on the driver's seat had already deployed. Byron was unconscious, his head covered with blood.

A chill ran down Athena's spine.

Fortunately, Byron hadn't locked the car door.

She opened it, unfastened his seatbelt, and pulled him out of the car, calling his name.

She dragged Byron away from the vehicle.

Then, she quickly checked his limbs, finding no fractures or broken bones.

But what about internal injuries?

What about his brain?

He had a history of being in a vegetative state due to a previous car accident.
