Chapter 368 Engagement Party

"You go to the private room first." Evie looked at Athena and the others and explained, "I'll take Mia to say hello to my parents." Athena was a little worried.

Evie nodded to her, indicating that she was fine.

She patted Evie's back slightly and led Rose to the private dining room.

"Evie doesn't look very good." After walking a few steps, Rose said.

"She had a fight with her mother," Athena replied.

Rose had a hunch that Evie wasn't sad over the fight with her mother. Rose felt like there was something else.

But she did not ask.

Evie put Mia on the ground.

Jane came over, picked Mia up again, and started kissing her.

"That's enough, Mom. Mia is tired," Evie tried to stop Jane.

She didn't forget to take a look at Caspian.

Why did she do that? What was there to see?

Did she love to see him with another woman?

They looked great together.

She really shouldn't have looked.

"Mom?" Dahlia's mother was stunned, "So this is your daughter?"

Jane was a little embarrassed. "Yeah, she just returned to Mainland recently, and she plans to open a branch office here. She's been extremely busy these days. This is Evie's goddaughter. Her name is Mia!" "It's a pleasure meeting you," Evie greeted politely, and finally, her eyes fell on Dahlia, and her smile became even sweeter, "Hi, Dahlia." Dahlia smiled at her.

Dahlia' skin was white, she was blush by called Athena.

Mia's sweet voice followed Evie's. "It's a pleasure meeting you."

With a childish voice, her eyes fell on Dahlia.

Then she looked at Evie blankly and asked, "What should I call her, Godmother?"

The elders in the private room immediately chuckled at Mia's childish question.

"That's Caspian's wife. You should call her..." Evie paused for a moment, then looked at Caspian and asked, "Mia is my goddaughter, so she should call you uncle. So ... she should call Dahlia Aunt Dahlia, right?"

"That's right. You were the one that taught the kids wrong in the past!" Jane teased.

Mia opened her eyes wide.

Looking at Dahlia, Mia didn't call spoke for a while.

"Mia, call Aunt Dahlia," Evie poked her cheek and reminded her.

Mia suddenly frowned and struggled to get out of Jane's arms.

She hugged Evie's leg.

"Evie, hug!" Mia shouted.

Evie froze for a moment.

"What is this kid doing?" Evie thought.

"What happened, Mia?" Jane hurriedly asked.

Evie picked Mia up.

Mia put her hands around Evie's neck and refused to look at them.

"She's probably hungry, mom. My investor is still waiting for me. You guys continue. I have to meet up with her."

Evie didn't lie.

Rose was indeed her investor.

"Meeting an investor? You meet her with a kid in your arms?" Jane thought that Evie was lying to get rid of her. She was a bit displeased by it.

"Evie has been acting strange since her father's death," Jane thought.

"Because the investor is Mia's great-grandmother," Evie replied.

Jane was taken aback.

"Wish you guys have a great time." Evie nodded slightly at Dahlia and the others.

Then she left the private dining room with Mia in her arms. She could feel Mia was not in the mood.

"Evie..."

Jane followed Evie and called out her name.

Then she remembered her in-laws by the side and stopped.

"I'm sorry. Evie has been spoiled since she was a child. Thus, she didn't know how to talk to her elders. But she means well. Sorry about that," Jane apologized awkwardly.
