Chapter 298 Strange but Inexplicably Familiar

"Evie!"

When Mia put down the brush and turned around, she saw Evie was about to slip away on tiptoe.

The frame was too large, but Mia was too short, so she needed a small ladder for assistance. Seeing Evie, Mia immediately got down the ladder and ran to her.

Evie didn't dislike Mia being covered in paint, so she picked Mia up, threw her high, and hugged her.

"Why aren't you going to bed? You won't grow tall if you sleep too late!"

"You were drinking! You are smelly, Evie!" Mia leaned back, avoiding Evie in disgust.

Evie deliberately got closer to Mia.

And their laughter resounded through the room.

Evie feared to disturb Athena and Aiden, so she carried Mia into the studio.

"What did you draw?"

Evie tilted her neck to look at the painting with Mia in her arms.

She had never been able to understand many of Mia's paintings. She only knew those professionals said Mia was extremely sensitive to color, and her color matching in painting was also very advanced. "It's Uncle Knight," Mia said seriously.

Evie was stunned.

She still didn't understand.

But she could see the painting looked good with those colors stacked together.

It could be seen that the person painting this was in a good mood.

"Wait. What Uncle Knight? Is it Jaxson?" Evie asked.

Mia chuckled. "This is a secret. I can't tell you!"

Evie clicked her tongue and pinched Mia's cheek. "Are you still going to draw?"

"Yeah. I'm almost done."

"Then you continue to draw. I have to take a bath first!"

"Go. You are so smelly!" Mia immediately waved her hand.

Evie snorted and put down Mia. She yawned and lazily left the studio.

Just as Evie was about to return to her room, Athena came out.

"Are you done?" Evie yawned with tears in her eyes.

"Yeah," Athena responded. She looked at the study and studio and asked, "Are they still up?"

"Yeah." Evie yawned again.

And then Athena said, "I met Freya today."

Evie's drowsiness disappeared immediately.

"Then what?"

"Nothing. I pretended not to be Athena." Athena shrugged helplessly. "Actually, I met Gideon in the park before going to Greeli City." Evie was surprised.

She began to hesitate to tell Athena that Mia had already met Byron.

"Girard City is so big. How did you meet these people so quickly?" Evie felt troublesome.

"Don't worry, Gideon won't tell Byron about it, neither Freya," Athena said tonelessly, "What about you? How is everything going?"

"Not bad."

"Don't drink too much." Athena rubbed Evie's head, urging her, "Go wash up and go to bed."

Evie responded.

Athena was going downstairs.

Looking at Athena's slender back, Evie thought about Byron, whom she had seen that day.

To be honest...

From the moment Evie saw Byron holding Mia, she had a premonition in her heart.

The matter between Byron and Athena wouldn't be ended so easily.

"Sweetie."

Evie stopped Athena.

Athena looked back at Evie and said, "What's wrong?"

Evie wanted to say a lot, but she couldn't say anything.

"Nothing."

Evie shook her head, turned around, and went upstairs to her room.

Athena was a little puzzled.

She went to the restaurant and got something to drink.

Sitting at the kitchen island, Athena replied to emails while drinking.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, it was raining from an unknown time.

Athena looked out and suddenly remembered Freya, whom she had met during the day.

Freya seemed to have changed. But her changes made Athena feel strange and inexplicably familiar.
