"Did Byron mention it?"

"He talked about his own background," Athena replied, her eyes lowered.

Gerry shook his head. "When it happened, I strongly disagreed. I tried to stop it, and for that, I got slapped twice by Sir Crawford. He said I couldn't understand the pain since I never lost a child." Athena didn't respond to that.

It seemed like Gerry was reminded of a painful memory, and he started feeling unwell.
