Chapter 2053 Grandpa and Grandma

Byron sat up and went to the bathroom to check, but there was no one there. He touched the spot where Athena had been sleeping, but it was cold.

Frowning, he opened the door and went downstairs.

Just as he reached the second floor, he heard his daughter's cheerful voice. "Brother, you're amazing! Ottilie, tonight you'll definitely catch the beetle you want the most!" Byron took a few more steps downstairs.

He saw camping equipment piled up in the living room and Athena sitting on the sofa in casual clothes, smiling as she listened to the excited chatter of the children discussing what they would do during the camping trip.

"Dad!"

Mia was the first to notice Byron.

With a joyful shout, she ran towards Byron.

Athena turned to him, saying, "I was about to go upstairs and wake you up."

"Sorry." Byron held his daughter's hand.

"No need to apologize. Dad, you work hard on your business trips, so it's only natural to get a good night's sleep when you come home!" Mia was still the considerate little cozy jacket for her father. Byron went to Athena's side.

Athena reached out her hand to Byron, and Byron let go of his daughter's hand to hold his wife's. "Did you sleep well?"

Byron nodded.

Indeed, he had slept very well. He didn't even have a dream all night, and he felt much more energized than usual when he woke up.

"That's good."

Athena lightly rubbed the back of Byron's hand with her thumb and index finger. "Let's have breakfast, and after we finish, we can get ready to go!" Byron smiled in response.

Just as they were about to leave, Logan came downstairs with his bag.

"Uncle, I thought you were being lazy and sleeping in!" Mia hugged Logan.

Logan lifted her up. "I made a promise with my little sweetheart. How could I not do it?"

"No, no!" Mia covered Logan's mouth. "Uncle, you're wrong again. Now, Pixie is the little sweetheart!"

Logan had no way to argue with her. "Okay then, Pixie is the little sweetheart, and you're my baby girl, all right?"

"Okay!" Mia nodded.

Logan looked up and met Athena's gaze.

These past few days, Logan hadn't talked to Athena at all.

As their eyes met, Logan felt like crying. He immediately averted his gaze and said, "Let's go. Today, all the kids are riding in Uncle's car. I'm the leader of the kids' group!" Logan busily took care of everything.

Several cars left Lakin, heading towards the campsite two hundred miles away.

Evie stood by the French window, holding Pixie, watching the caravan get further and further away with worry.

Aron came over and took his energetic daughter from him, holding her himself.

"Don't worry, Athena has enough help with her, and the medicine that Mr. Freed gave seems to be working well." Aron reassured in a gentle voice.

Evie nodded but couldn't help sighing softly. "Aron, let's delay our plan to move to. It's better to have more people around her after Athena takes Byron for closed treatment."

"Okay." Aron had no preferences about where they lived. As long as Evie was with him, it was enough. "The weather is good today. It'll be rainy for half a month starting from tomorrow, and the temperature will drop significantly. How about we go to Bone Mountain today?"

"Fine." Evie agreed and then pinched the chubby cheeks of their daughter. "Pixie, do you want Mommy and Daddy to take you to meet your grandparents?"
