In the dimly light room, Madison was lying motionless on the bed. While Ethan was sitting beside her on the bed.

"Come on Madison. I know you are awake, please speak to me?" He has been trying to pacify her ever since she came to find out that Amelia was pregnant with his child. Even after it was heard that she miscarried the baby, she still kept a silent war with him, even if he didn't want to be part of the war. How could he bear that?

Madison lied still, she didn't even move nor talk with him. She was going to suffer him a bit, for lying and going against her wish.

"Baby, i have said i am sorry" He said, " ok, if you don't want to speak to me, at least get up to eat. You can't starve yourself unnecessarily" He coaxed.

But she ignored him. He sighed. He knew how stubborn and hard-hearted she could be sometimes, but he felt he was wrong.

"It was a mistake. I never really had any dubious intentions. I know you feel hurt. But please forgive me and don't keep silent war with me anymore. Besides she has miscarried the baby already" He pacified, patiently.

Madison heart soften. What he said was right anyway. What need was there, ignoring him because of what was now nonexistent. Though she really felt the need to punish him a bit, she would have to forgive and reconcile with him. By the way, she has missed him.

She turned her body to face him and opened her eyes. "You know how angry i am, right?"

He nodded, feeling happy she has finally talked to him. " Yes and i am sorry"

She sighed and moved closer to him. She leaned her head on his lap, and said softly,

"Don't you ever do such a thing again. It will break my heart. Only i can have your children"

He smiled," Yes only you can have my children" He agreed.

She raised her head up and pouted. "I am hungry" she whined.

"Then let's go and eat"

In the hospital ward.

Amelia sat up on the bed, with difficulty. She stepped down from the bed. By now, her body was healing rapidly, and the pain drastically reduced.

She checked the luggages. Her mind had told her Laura, couldn't really be trusted. It might be that she didn't pack her things but......

After checking her luggages, she sat on the bed and took her phone. She began to glance through her contacts to see if she had anyone, she could call for help. But after scrolling for a while, she found none. She stopped scrolling and closed the app, before throwing the phone on the bed. It was of no use. She leaned back on the bed.

Bingo!

She remembered someone and she quickly picked up her phone and dialed the number. After three rings, the phone was answered.

"Hello, Mrs Pearls, how have you been doing? Are you sick? Why haven't you come to work since?" A famine voice bombarded questions, immediately she picked up the phone.

Amelia chuckled," one at a time, please."

"Alright, ma'am. Did you and Mr Greg divorce? The news is everywhere now. Everyone is talking about it"

The smile on her face stiffened. After a moment, she regained herself. The news was already all over? How did the media get hold of such news in a short while?

The mother and daughter duo.

She could have known. They went as far as spreading the news. No wonder she said there was nothing left for her. Advising her to leave, they wanted her to leave their lives and sights for good. "Yes we divorced" she admitted, but this was where she would stop. She wouldn't disclose more details.

So, before she could ask the reason for their divorce, Amelia quickly changed the topic.

"Please, can you do me a favor?"

"Anything, ma"

"Thank you. I would send you my account details and the location of where I currently am and you would withdraw money from my bank and bring it to me. Can you do that?"

Of course, ma. Send it and i would go right away"

On a second thought, Amelia asked, " are you not busy at the office?"

"I will take a leave, then. Besides it would be an avenue to take a rest. Don't you worry" She reassured cheerfully.

On a normal circumstances, she would have disagreed, but right now, she had no choice. "Alright"

She hung up the phone and forward her account details and the address of this hospital. It would be easy to find anyway. After sending it, she dropped her phone and lay on the bed.

She would begin the execution of her plans to leave this city. The money aspect was solved. Luckily, she had always been the type to save money, even from the time she was still in school. She would save the allowances her father gives to her. And when she left school and began to work, she would save her salary and the money her husband (now ex-husband) gives to her.

So, She had a reasonable amount of money in her account, which would be enough for a start.

Her plan was already in action but the main lead has not yet arrived.........

"Good morning" she heard a familiar voice greeted. Maybe she was too deep in thought, that she didn't hear the door open.

She sat up and gazed at the nurse, who was coming towards the bed.

The memory of what occurred the previous day, played on her mind.

She had thought that, after what happened that day, she would not even want to come to her ward again and she, Amelia, was planning to find her and apologize. But to her greatest surprise, she came. She felt her heart warm. The nurse was really an angel, in disguise.

"Good morning, nurse"

"How are you doing?"

"I am fine," She answered and lowered her head. "About that incident..... I am really sorry for the way i acted. I honestly didn't know what came over me"

The nurse smiled slightly. "It's ok. I understand how you felt, after finding out you lost your baby"

"Thank you very much" She said. She was really grateful that she was an understanding person.

"What happened? Why are luggages here? Are they for you?" The nurse asked, with a confused expression.

Amelia looked at the luggages and cleared her throat." They are mine"

"Yours? Why are they here?" She asked again.

"I.... I am planning on leaving" She opened up, skeptically.

"Leaving? To where?"

"You must have already know who I am and who is my husband. We divorced. It's already on the news. Added to that, i have a lot of circumstances surrounding my divorce. I want to leave, at least to go far away"

The nurse walked to the bed and sat on it. "I understand what you are going through right now. But is there a need to leave?"

Amelia pursed her lips, looking at her. "It is my decision. I want to take this step. And please you have to help me"

"How?"

"The hospital might not let me leave and may insist on me staying here to recuperate. But I really want to go now"

"But you still have healed yet. How do you expect me to help you in this? It is true that the hospital may not really let you leave because after that incident, they are deliberating on leaving you here so they could watch you, since they are not sure about your mental state"

"Please, nurse you have to help me" she pleaded pitifully. She had already predicted this before, so it wasn't much of a surprise. But she needed to go.

The nurse sighed in resignation. "Ok i will help you. But where do i come in?"

Amelia almost squealed after she agreed. She had thought she would have a hard time convincing the nurse, but she agreed, without much persuasion.

"I need you to help me with my escape plan......"

Few hours later, Chloe entered Amelia's ward, an air of great enthusiasm revolving around her.

When she saw Amelia, she quickly hugged her tightly. The relationship between both of them were more than a head and a subordinate. Amelia really found the good qualities of a friend in her, though she really didn't take it seriously.

And for Chloe Waters, Amelia was her role model, her mentor and a woman she looks up to.

After hugging her, Chloe sat on the bed and took a quick glance at the ward.

"Did you bring the money?" Amelia asked as she joined her to sit down.

"Yes I did. But what are you using such big amount of money for?"

Amelia contemplated for a while, before she decided to open up. "I want to leave this city"

"What! You really can't be serious, right?"

"I am. I am leaving because......."Amelia took time to explain some certain things to her.

"Does that mean i won't see you again?" She asked. after listening to Amelia, her usual cheerful expression dampened.

"I would surely come back. This is my home and origin i would return"

She would surely return, but not as the Amelia Pearls they used to know, but as a new Amelia Pearls......
