But only Ayan, Camille, and Grace knew that he was here solely for Grace.

His gaze remained fixed on Grace's every move. At this moment, with the eldest uncle tightly grasping her arm, Grace, in a highly emotional state, asked, "Grace, what do you think? You are your mother's daughter. You must consider this from her perspective! Your mother's cause of death hasn't been determined yet. We cannot let this matter go just like that!"

After the eldest uncle spoke, the second uncle concurred.

The officer's gaze swept towards Ayan, receiving no indication of speaking up, subconsciously turning to Kian for guidance.

Kian, seeing that Ayan made no gesture, allowed the situation to proceed naturally.

With no response from the police, the officer continued as planned. Ignoring Brody's statement, the police didn't say anything more to the uncles either, turning to Grace and asking, "Miss Armstrong, what is your decision? Are you siding with your father, Mr. Armstrong, or do you choose to follow your uncles' suggestion to involve the coroner?"

Instantly, all eyes turned to Grace.

But before Grace could speak, the uncles quickly added, "And Camille, Camille, you too. Are you and your sister standing with your mother or your father?" Brody, upon seeing this, exclaimed, "No!!!"

Looking at Camille, they continued, "Cami, don't believe your father. We know firsthand how he treats you. You can rest assured that this matter concerning your mother will be left for you and Grace to decide. We won't listen to anyone else."

Wanting to retort immediately, Brody couldn't help but glance at Ayan, ultimately managing to say only, "Camille is already married, so the affairs of the Armstrong family no longer concern her."

"What are you saying?"

The uncles inquired.

Grace's voice rang out, "She may not be able to decide, but what about me? I'm not married yet, and I am still my mother's beloved daughter. Don't I have the right to decide?"

Although Grace's tone was relatively subdued in the noisy environment, it was still clear for everyone to hear.

It was precisely her calm demeanor that made it evident to Camille and the others that Grace had already made a decision.

Grace exuded an air of composure, as if she were telling Brody that she wouldn't change her decision or wavering. She would stay firm until the end.

Brody, observing this, narrowed his eyes as his expression turned cold and detached. He coolly stated, "Grace, precisely because your mother loved you, we must bury her first. You've been gone for so long, and your mother hasn't even seen you one last time. Grace, don't you feel any guilt? Do you know what your mother went through during this time? Some things are in the past, and it's a foregone conclusion. I don't want to dwell on them or interpret them anymore. But, Grace, I hope you understand that your mother is in this state because of you. You bear an undeniable responsibility."

Brody's words shattered Grace's already prepared composure. She had been in a state of guilt and introspection, but she had been trying to adjust herself to resolve the matter quickly. Just as she managed to pull herself together, Brody shattered it all with his words.

Grace stood there, speechless, her carefully arranged emotions collapsing. Brody seemed satisfied with this response.

Seeing this, Camille released Ayan's hand, walked over to Grace, gently patting her hand before looking at Brody indifferently, "We won't dwell on why Grace left home. Based on the current situation, I believe it would be more appropriate to follow the police's suggestion. If you believe I am no longer part of the Armstrong family and refuse to let me participate in this decision, I have no objections. But Grace has the right."

Camille's words carried a significant threatening undertone that left Brody speechless.
